La compagnie MasterFood, productrice des chocolats (Mars, Twix, Bounty, Snickers, …) a annoncé qu'à partir du mois de mai 2007, qu'elle changera sa production de chocolat en utilisant de la graisse animale à la place de la graisse végétale.
Cette nouvelle mesure rend ces aliments illicites pour les musulmans, l'origine de ces graisses étant soit du porc soit de la viande de bovin non égorgé selon le rite musulman.
