D.I.M.
"D.I.M. is one of the few bands to deliver hard-hitting in-your-face heavy metal without taking themselves too seriously. Stuck somewhere in the middle of different metal genres, it would be easy to dismiss D.I.M. as lacking direction and focus but this would be a mistake as this is their very purpose - they take only what they want from the heavy metal salad bar and the resulting plateful will melt your face right off!"
-Nathan Block a.k.a. "The Swordlord": President/CEO, Swordlord Productions
"(DIM is true) multiple car wreck metal. There is no other way of putting that fact. They will tear off your limbs and beat you over the head with them."
In the current climate of scenes, stereotypes and conformity choking the very life out of American music, D.I.M. is a much-needed breath of fresh air. D.I.M. is a collaboration of musicians from prominent Twin Cities bands (Vicious Violet, Sunset Strip, This Will Not End Well) answering only to their own creative impulses. The result is a sound that is intense, random, apologetically heavy and memorable.
Unlike so many bands that claim a diverse array of heavy influences, D.I.M. actually puts their money where their mouth is. Equally at home playing alongside hardcore bands, death metal bands, alt metal bands, stoner/doom metal bands, thrash metal bands and (insert sub-genre label of your choice here) metal bands, D.I.M. reaches out to fans of all types of brutality with a universal message conveyed not by their own statements, but by the music itself. An approach that may be considered out of place in today's compartmentalized music industry, but then again D.I.M. has just as little regard for industry points as they do scene points.
D.I.M. is proud to call the metal community it's home but does not, and will not, sound like any other metal band-nor will they engage in the all-to-common practice of "metaller-than-thou" snobbery toward those whose dress, mannerisms and c.d. collections differ from theirs. D.I.M. is not about the politics or the bullshit. D.I.M. is about a love for music, particularly heavy music of all styles. D.I.M. does not limit itself to one lyrical subject or theme. This is not a show-This is art. D.I.M. has worked, suffered and remained steadfast for their art and now, D.I.M. is about to share their art with you-ready or not.

We are happy to see a good year go towards a good end. Again we will be playing our Christmas Show in the Moscow Megasphere - and that really makes us happy. The Moscow crowd is one of the best in the world and we would love to have you all with is. It's gonna be one hell of a rock party!
Our website has undergone major updates at the moment, but it's back and we highly recomment that you pick up your free Single and DVD "Chase the Dragon" and tell us what you think.
In the meantime Rozencrantz is back in the studio, working on brand new material.
There once was a time in the land where the sun was worshiped as god and its embrace with the moon made the earth hold its breath as time stood still in silence, and at that hour the smothered sun shall cloak the whole world in the dead blackness of midnight giving birth to the Element Of Eclipse.

We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. Every month or so we will present a new audio-visual performance based on a different theme/story. We will be collaborating with artists and other creative musicians along the way so let us know if you have something you'd want to bring into this project.
The first in the series is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. It will be a musical adventure, and we hope that you can come participate :)
