Dimthingshineon is the artist name and latest project of James Edward Garcia. This particular artistic outlet is for promoting his music more in the style of alternative, classic, old prog elements, and metal rock with strong lyrical content.
His first CD release in 2007 is called Diary of a Dying Man and contains 14 original songs, 2 of which are instrumental, plus a bonus CD with 3 more originals and 4 cover tunes. He plays all the instruments and sings all vocals as well as recording and mastering himself.

Dimthingshineon completed a 4 CD set worth of tunes by other artists called "Nostalgia". A mix of mainstream rock and roll, metal, prog-art rock, avant-garde; some popular tunes, some a bit more obscure. Performing an eclectic music mix by: John Lennon, Hum, Groundhogs, Rolling Stones, This Heat, Iggy Pop, King Crimson, Syd Barrett, The Monkees, Chris Whitley, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Peter Hammill, Neil Young, Slayer, Soft Machine, Genesis, Glen Hansard, Mad Season, Captain Beefheart, The Pixies, Paul McCartney, The Residents, AC/DC, Roxy Music, Bad Company, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Robert Fripp, Nazareth, Matching Mole, Roky Erickson, Yes, Todd Rundgren, Celtic Frost, Elvin Bishop, George Harrison, Arthur Brown, Hedwig, Triumph, Elf, Led Zeppelin, Europe, Kyuss. As on previous recorded work, Dimthingshineon plays all the instruments and sings all the vocals.
