    Dim Wisdom began when Gabriel Ortega and Omar Olivera started learning how to make music together in 96 when Omar was 16 and Gabriel 12. They played out of Gabe's room in Woodhaven and Omar's basement in Ozone Park. They remained a two-peice for years. They had their first perfomance in 2001 as part of a 9/11 benifit concert at the Cooper Union. Shortly thereafter Ken Poveda joined as bassist and they began performing at the Orange Bear. In 2003, Ken now with a different band, Gabe and Omar met Scott Fragala. They felt their sound was now complete. The three have been playing and writing songs together off and on since, at places like the Orange Bear, Acme Underground, and the Continental. K-Smith, a native of Brooklyn, has become a recent addition contributing his rhymes to much of their new material. In March of 2009 they recorded "Adjust" at Emandee Studios in Brooklyn and have just released their 4 song EP "Jump" on their site www.dimwisdom.net free for download.
