The new, genre-bending album has a unique and challenging sound, and features contributions by some of the most important artists in Israeli music today: Avi Leibovitch, Yoad Nevo, Arkadi Duchin, Hadar Galron, Avraham Tal, Alon Yoffe, Moshe Da'abul and others.

In what seems to be one of the most impressive artist developments of recent years, Din Din Aviv is celebrating yet another important award. Merely a few months after her debut album "Sodotay" reached gold status, recieved two ACUM (Israel's ASCAP) awards and over 100 concerts on her Israeli tour, Din Din Aviv has been announced today as the recipient of the Best Artist In Music award given by the Minister of Culture.

Din Din Aviv second album is due for release early next year.

Bio

Born in Israel in 1974 to a family of musicians, Din Din is a singer
and a performer from early childhood.
Din Din has studied dance and Ballet with the "Israeli Ballet" school,
dance teacher Dorit Gasner, and African dance master Aysha Diale.

A graduate of "Aliance high school", Din Din served in the Israeli army
as the solo singer for the "Air force entertainment group"

Her musical education includes Indian singing and Tobla drums
playing in India, African Drumming with Uri Nave,
Congas with master Avi Zarfati, Piano lessons and two years
of drum and voice studies at Rimon school of Music.
A part of her activity as a performing and recording artist
Din Din is teaching "Rhythm in Dance" including workshops
in "Drum and Dance" at Seminar Hakibuzim.

Her highly acclaimed musical work received many awards.
"Shir La'ahava", which Din Din sang with Gaya,
won "Discovery of the Year", after becoming a huge hit
and a second anthem for many Israelis.
With "The Idan Reichel Project", Din Din won
"Song of the Year" award for "Im Telech",
in both "Galatz" and "Reshet Gimel" radio stations.
According to ACUM, the song was also number one in airplay that year (2003).

Din Din's long awaited debut solo album "Sodotai" was released in early 2006
to great critical and audience acclaim.
It contains collaborations with a wide variety of musicians:
Yael Naim, Idan Reichel, Mosh Ben Ari, and more.
The lead single and title track was co-written with Yael Naim and received massive airplay, and the song "mukeret li mipa'am" (lyrics by Hamutal Ben Zeev) became one of the biggest hits of the year. The accompanying tour sold out all of it's shows, and "Sodotai" went gold, yielding two more hit singles: "Mashmauyot" (a duet with Yael Naim) and "Elia".

Din Din is a chosen artist of the Israel Cultural Excellence Foundation since 2004.
