  • Bio

Dinero started out of the ashes of Harvey Knuckles, a hard rock band whose time was up. Mike Wing (slide guitar & vocals) asked Dave Shutz (drums) and Chris Nicholson (stand-up bass) to play some songs he had been writing. After some reluctance, they said yes. Things didn't go smooth at first; timing was off, lyrics were incoherent and the group had no sense of style. As the towel was about to be tossed, they tried a version of the Minutemen's classic song "Themselves" and they thought, "wow, that sounds nothing like the Minutemen". However, the feel was good so they tried an original song called "The Atheist" and things started to happen. Although they still have no sense of style, the music is improving. ...... .. ..
