Sam Amidon, Bob Dylan, Broken Social Scene, my crazy family, Chris Thile, Peter Bjorn and John, Swap, Kris Drever, all the people I know; Bennett Konesni, Sam Dasch, Emma Beaton, Mia and Ari, Owen Marshall this list is too much
Jeff was born and bred in Maine. He plays, in order of appearance, trumpet, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and likes to sing too. He's in a couple of bands that he likes to lay with a great deal. One of them is Free Seedlings, a new-acoustic, bluegrass, and old-time trio formed by Jeff, his dad David, and their good friend Bennett Konesni.
Another band is Fireside, made up of Jeff, Bennett, and Mia Friedman of Boston. They play some old Southern Appalachian songs and tunes as well as some old Scandinavian songs and tunes, sometimes together.
Jeff is also a freelance musician, making appearances in bands such as The Gristmill Boys, Little Ankelbone, and playing shows with Bennett and Owen Marshall, a fine guitarist from Washington, Vemont. He also plays frequently in duo situations with Mia Friedman.
Jeff Lewis is 16. He plays a 2008 Neil J Dean A-5 mandolin no.75, a circa 1875 J.H. Buckbee banjo, and a 2009 Jeff Menzies Gourd Banjo.
You did an outstanding job on the Uncle Eddie & Robin CD, "When We're Together". Your mandolin solo is still my favorite instrumental on the whole CD. Hope you are well... Robin
