Sounds Like
Dingo Sanctuary sounds exactly like Dingo Sanctuary.
Comprised of three of West Texas' most seasoned and sought-after musicians, Dingo Sanctuary traces its roots through previous West Texas powerhouse rock bands such as The Atomics and Lighthouse. With a reputation for technical arrangements, meticulous attention to live sound presentation, and obsessive musicianship, the band has earned praise as one of the tightest, most impressive club acts to be found anywhere.
Fronted by veteran guitarist/singer Tim Kreitz, Dingo Sanctuary cranks out an incendiary mix of original and cover music spanning a wide rock gamut. Rounded out by Britt Parker and Roger Albaugh in the rhythm section, this unique West Texas rock gem pleases crowds all over the region with an eclectic rock-n-roll experience that must be heard live to be fully appreciated.
ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
Tim Kreitz has been featured in magazines, on television, and in newspapers across West Texas. An award-winning musician and producer, Tim played and engineered on two Grammy®-nominated songs during his association with Jalapeno Records during the 1990s. In 2006, he was named Entertainer of the Year by the West Texas Music Hall of Fame. In addition, Tim has also received recognition as a producer from the American Advertising Federation.
Obsessed as a teenager with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Led Zeppelin, Tim's speedy, bluesy guitar style and syrupy tone are unmistakable. His vocal style has been described as "a cross between Jim Morrison and Robert Smith" and moves with power and ease between Tenor and Mezzo-Soprano.
Britton Parker is the son of legendary Texas guitarist Troy Parker of Kingsmen fame. Troy, who taught a young Roy Orbison to play guitar (and who was featured by Texas Monthly Magazine upon his death), instilled a love and discipline for music into his son Britt at an early age. Britton has also been a resource for West Texas writers and TV reporters on numerous occasions, as well. An outstanding and seasoned drummer, Britt never disappoints, pleasing audiences regularly with his tasty chops.
Roger Albaugh draws heavy inspiration for his bass work from artists like Geddy Lee, Jacko Pastorius, and John Paul Jones. A finger-player with fat tone and nimble movements, Roger holds down the bottom end with precision and style.
