I was born in Harlem, NY. My parents moved us to Flushing, Queens when I was 9 years old. My Sister & Brother use to take me to concerts. Saw Janis Joplin, Jeff Beck Group, Ten Years After, James Gang, Johnny Winter And, etc... I knew from that point I wanted to play Music. My first real band, I was 14 years old. It was called Barrel. Played all the dances in my area. Covered Alice Cooper to Allman Bros. After Barrel I joined some friends from High School and that band was called Buddy. It was glam, we did Mott The Hoople, Lou Reed , Bowie, etc... After that I started a band called Teaser. Played all the bars & clubs on Long Island & Queens. From there, I joined a stream of original bands & played my own music in NYC. Bands from that period were King Flux (X-Plasmatics), V.O.V., Stangelove. I would go on auditions weekly published in the Public Notice section of the Village Voice. That's where the more pro bands posted their ads when looking for Musicians in NY. With "V.O.V.", we played the Marquee Club, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Cafe Wha and a host of other Clubs & Bars in NY. We recorded a demo, that can be heard here, but we mostly did a lot of gigging again, in NY, Queens & Staten Island. After "V.O.V.", I started a band with David Chin & John Bellon of "Shoot The Doctor" fame. We played a couple of gigs together but it was not long before this project soon faded out. You can also hear "Strangelove" on here as well. Later on in life, when I stopped looking for that "Record Deal in The Sky", I got together with my best friend Harvey whom I had managed through the years, to fill the Drumming spot in almost all of the bands I had played with (Incredible Drummer), and then we finally formed a cover band called "Stripped". It was an Unplugged Copy Band with Full Drums & Electric Bass. Don't let Unplugged & Acoustic Guitars fool you. We were Loud with Major Attitude. We covered Alice In Chains, Allman Bros, Stones, Beatles, Wallflowers, REM, Temple Of The Dog, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty etc... We played a lot of bars, private parties and also played the strip in Freeport, Long Island. Enjoy ! If you like the music you are hearing on this page, visit my private page for more of my music.
