Dion is 13 years old and is the son of Brasilian/Swiss father and Italian/Australian mother.
Interests: Singing, performing, playing chess, soccer, hockey, swimming, reading Harry Potter and the Cherub series by Robert Muchamore, playing piano and guitar, looking after his menagerie of birds, playing with his black labrador "Patch".
He is a Year 8 student of the Newtown High School of Performing Arts.
Dion was "discovered" when he was 8 years old by his singing teacher Elizabeth Swain. He was a member of the Newington College Chapel Choir and Chamber Choir from 8 years of age. He commenced singing with the children's chorus of Opera Australia in 2005.
Operas include Tosca, Hansel & Gretel, The Magic Flute and a principal role in Batavia. Dion won a spot on the ABC Radio 702 Christmas Stars CD in 2005 singing "Once in Royal David's City". His CD "Purely Dion" was originally put together for posterity before his voice changes. However, many around the world are enjoying his angelic voice through his CD and on various internet radio stations.
Dion has performed at the ANZAC International Military Tattoo at ACER Arena, done voice overs (singing) for the 3 mobile Ashes commercials, and other commercials and various other charity concerts and events.
