It's all about the Music.....all day long
I love it all.....Especially Snooks Eaglin
Bergman comes to mind. The prelude to "American Opus" is really named "El Lobo Negro" after "The Hour of the Wolf". The idea is that in the middle of the night things are different than in the day. "The Seventh Seal" was an immense nourishment for my youthful mind years ago and still intrigues me. I suppose the movie "The Saragosa Manuscript" was another major impact on my brain as well.
INSIDE THE INDIE will be shown for the first time in public in Tacoma on May 29th and again in June on the 6th, go to http://myspace.com/insidetheindie for more details WATCH INSIDE THE INDIE TRAILER FOR A VIEW FROM THE MUSICIANS SIDE OF LIFE.
Read "The White Goddess" by Robert Graves. Lafcadio Hearn's stories.
My old aquaintence from the Berkeley days that went on to change the lives of natives across this nation and around the world. Power to the people that survived the American Holocast. And many blessings from the great spirit upon the medicine man Dennis Banks. .....................~^~..................... ..................And Save The Dolphins
I have been moving all my life from one place to another. It all started when I was a week old and my father was stationed in Panama. I have slowed down a bit now. Even so it seems that moving is what I do best and playing music is climbing up to number one. LOL, I guess I must be an American Gypsy.
Bob Dylan - so I could thank him for his influence. I once owned a guitar that he had when he was younger. Mara told me it had been his but I didn't really believe it until I saw him with it in "No Direction Known". Then of course I would like to meet Snooks Eaglan. I am not sure where he is now that the katrina debacle moved him out of his house but I hope that he is OK. He influenced my blues immensely and when I went to New Orleans to find him he had gone to New York with Professor Longhair. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of my favorite musician people over the years. Taj Mahal let me play his guitars once in Berkeley and it left me feeling totally grateful.
