About Dionysus

Dionysus, A 5 Peice metal band from Glasgow with influences from a wide range of styles including black / melodic / death / doom and power and fantasy inspired lyrics. After numerous line-up changes the band are now in the process of writing and recording their 3rd full album.

"Glasgow six-piece Dionysus method of playing 'black metal' manages to be almost equal measure bathory bludgeon and power metal widdle and still sounds cool. Candidate can be male or female, age not really important, but you must have your own gear, be dedicated ,ambitious ,and live in or be able to travel to the Glasgow area. Ideally seeking a double-bass style drummer with tons of energy and enthusiasm,and be able to take this band to the next level we need the candidate to have the same kind of hunger and disire and drive to make it as we do as a band . -if your favourite drummers are or include: ---------------- Lars Urlich(metallica), Vinnie Paul(pantera), Chris Adler(lamb of god), Raymond Herera(fear factory), Dave Lombardo(slayer), Mike Portnoy (dream theater), Neal Peart(rush) Gene Holgan(death/strapping Young lad) John Bonaham(led zeppelin) Joey Jordson(slipknot) all offers considered.
