New Prog? Alternative? Post Hardcore? Metal? - genau darum geht es bei Dioramic nicht. Das junge Trio aus Kaiserslautern/ Rheinland-Pfalz interessiert sich scheinbar kaum für eine Teilnahme am Genre-Roulette. Und tatsächlich muss jeder, der die „bunte Kugel Dioramic“ bei diesem Spiel ins Rollen bringt, damit rechnen, zu verlieren. Diese Band passt einfach nicht recht in die vorgefertigten Sparten, Dioramic gestalten ihre Songs nicht „wie man sie halt gestaltet“.


Es geht ihnen vielmehr darum, Musik zu machen, die interessant ist und zu überraschen weiß. Musik, die bis ins Detail bewusst komponiert ist und immer rechtzeitig den nötigen Raum für Emotionen lässt. Kurzum: Musik, die sowohl Musikern als auch Laien Spaß machen kann.


Dieses Ziel verfolgen Anton, Jochen und Arkadi seit der Bandgründung 2002. Nach einem langen und beschwerlichen Weg fand man schließlich mit Kurt Ebelhäuser (Blackmail, Donots) einen Produzenten, der das Potenzial der Songs soundtechnisch auszuschöpfen wusste. Zuletzt konnte noch Stefan Lüdicke von Lifeforce Records für das Team gewonnen werden, der nun dafür sorgt, dass das kommende Album die Aufmerksamkeit erhält, die es verdient.





New Prog? Alternative? Post Hardcore? Metal? – that kind of guesswork is exactly what Dioramic are not about. The young trio from Kaiserslautern/RLP is apparently not interested in being tossed into the genre-roulette. And as a matter of fact, anybody who will put Dioramic into this kind of game is already set to lose: this band just does not fit into the ready-made categories, Dioramic don’t write their songs “like one should”.

What they are about is making interesting music with a surprise element. Music which is detailed and pre-meditated, and always leaves the necessary space for emotion. Basically, it’s about music which can be enjoyed by musicians and laymen alike.

This is the goal which Anton, Jochen and Arkadi have been pursuing since the band’s formation in 2002. After a long and arduous journey, they found Kurt Ebelhäuser (Blackmail, Donots) to be the producer who was able to max out the band’s potential, and to capture their strongest sound as of yet. Finally, the team was completed by Stefan Lüdicke of Lifeforce Records, who will make sure the upcoming album is going to get the attention which it deserves.
