"DIOS MIO - "Prey to God" EP Fucking rock! Eau Claire, Wisconsin's DIOS MIO kicks out four jams of solid rock 'n' roll-influenced hardcore punk on this 7". At times it has more of a SEX/VID vibe, and it even enters into NYHC/crossover territory on "Tread the World" and "Prey to God". Really good stuff, catchy as fuck; I'd definitely see them live. Only 200 were pressed, so it might already be gone, but it's being repressed in an edition of 500 as "Shit Life" by Gnarly Slaughter Records on colored vinyl this winter, so you should be able to get your grubby little hands on one somehow. "During the painfully long sample that started the tape, I had time to persue the Jcard and deduced that I was in for some "killer" two man grind...but holy fucking shit what I got was 100% bad ass fast hardcore from the sticks of Wisconsin. "Down The Drain" should fall amongst the most awesome classic punk songs ever, just slap that bad boy on a two song single with a mediocre B-side and you've got an instant winner! This is the biggest surprise of the whole batch this time around, just fucking awesome hardcore that draws as much from FU'S as it does from 9 SHOCKS.
