Zio uses - His Dio-esque voice and then adds a little: Line 6 effects, and
Shure and Sennheiser micophones.
Singe uses - Fractal Audio effects, Bogner speakers, McNaught and Ibanez guitars, Audio-Technica mics, Mad Creations Unltd. cables, Red Bear & Obligatto "Black Diamond" picks. His Demon Hand uses Laser Gloves of unknown origin.
Lightning Surge uses - Boss effects, Crate amps, ESP, BC Rich, and Hamer guitars, Mogami cables, and Tortex picks.
John uses - A HUGE pearl Kit, no it's really big, No, Bigger. Look, we're talking krakens for earings, ok? BIG! And some drumsticks, lots of drumsticks, like a woodchipper only faster.
Jericho uses - Yamaha basses, Fender Bass amp Cabinet and tons of good old-fashioned groove.
Dio tribute band, Stand Up & Shout formed from the need for the best Ronnie James Dio
tribute band in the greater Seattle area, but it seems we have progressed a bit further to be one of the best if not THE best sounding in the world. We have been told so many times now that
we rock we know it and it shows. Our unending support of Ronnie James Dio
and his career and music continues as we add epic songs to our setlist dating back
to his days in Rainbow, we have requests for more Black
Sabbath, and we are delivering already. Dedicated to HIS music, we aspire to emulate the master of metal for you with as many shows as we can. Come see us at our next show and see for yourself, why WE ROCK!!

As you may already know - Ronnie James Dio and his many crews have been cranking
out Melodic metal and magic since the late 60's, and now Stand up & Shout is here
to show our appreciation for all he has taught his metal children. His music and
lyrics formed the basis for much of the metal music we now enjoy, both new and old.
Without RJD there would be no real heavy metal, and no Stand Up & Shout. We are here to show the many other people who love the music of Ronnie James Dio, how we think it should be performed- LIVE, by talented musicians in their favorite places. We have seen many new faces at our shows and are seeing many smiles and familiar faces as well.
These are the stepping stones of music in their next great leap. Imitation is flattery and we maintain that this music should be treated as the greatest metal ever told, done with as much attention to detail as possible. Like a rendition of a great musical masterpiece these songs shall be delivered.
Ronnie James Dio is one of the GREATEST musical composers & performers of our time, his music will live on for all time with tributes to his greatness like ours, others should learn from his mastery of music and decades of experience. I foresee his music played in the great music halls of the future, with his unique, very difficult to produce sound it will always be loved.
THE PLAYERS
ZIO
On lead vocals is Zio, He is here to sing about the balance of good and evil through his re-enactments of the live sound of Ronnie James Dio. Zio has always loved singing Ronnie's works since first hearing his music and continues to do so. To tell his story- years ago upon meeting DIO he gave ronnie a "demo" tape of him singing some of DIO's songs and asked if it was ok to form a tribute band, Ronnie James Dio said, "Yeah, just get ahold of me when you do so I can come see you play." Zio did and continues to do so.
Singe, The Demon Hand
A highly disciplined shredder, whose over-the-top guitar pyrotechnics allow for perfect Dio-esque shredding. He is mostly self-taught and has followed many masters of metal including Joe Satriani, George Lynch, Michael Romeo, Ritchie Blackmore, and Vivian Campbell. He strives for accuracy in Dio material above all. Singe has been a shred guitar instructor, and is also currently working on his solo rock guitar instrumental CD. He is honored to have been chosen to return on the NW Shred Fest 2009 CD with 2 of his original compositions. The CD will be released on summer 2009 and you can pick one up at our shows. Singe's demon hand is kept alive by the laser glove of doom.
Lightning Surge
Lightning Surge is a huge metal fan turned musician, and is the epitome of an axe shredder, ripping out terrifying passages with ease. He is heavily influenced by Angra, Rhapsody, and Hibria among others. Nothing is too complex for his shredding fingers of lightning. Tony Iommi and Vivian Campbell solos are mere childsplay in his capable hands.
Bass Monk Of Funk
Always looking for the groove, fingering his way through the influences of the past to bring the groove to the future. Jericho lives inside the music of Dio, knowing the notes by heart & playing with an earthquake of resonating basslines to shake your soul. Jericho has excellent technical skills honed by years of learning Primus and Rush basslines.
John "Animal" Hernandes
With over 20 years playing the drums, John Kicks ass. you'll see and hear it when you come out to the shows. With live experience playing covers from: Metallica, Iron Maiden, Symphony X, and many other heavy metal bands and their music, you'll love the way the drums sound at our next gig. John's HUGE Pearl Kit will pound you into dust.
