Born in Spalding Clarendon, Floyd Porter,better known as 'Diplomat' use to attend Edwin Allen HIGH SCHOOL, launched his career in 1992. He recorded his first single on the Roof International Record Lable titled SAYTAN. His career took off with his creative style and originality. He has released singles on various record labels such as Stone Love, X-Rated, Royal Pyramid, just to name a few. Diplomat first ventured to the U.S. in 1994 and made appearances in such places as Miami ,Orlando, New York, Chicago,Minnesota and several concerts throughout the U.S. He then took his career to a next level by performingat several concerts throughout the U.K. places such as Burmingham, Liverpool, also Uerope places such as Jermany and Bond in 1997. This DJ'S performance takes his fans by storm worldwide.Listeners respond to the positive and cultural lyrics not only performed by the artist, but written by him as well.His songs are carefully composed to capture the attention of all ages. Appearing on Reggae Sumfest and Sting definately commend his genuity and passion for the music business. Vibes Magazine capture him in action at Club Nu Nu in Hollywood giving the crowd a dynamic performance. Diplomat 's material covers a broad range of subjects with track such as; 'Diplomat Again', 'Macka Bee Version','Blood Out Of Stone', 'Oh What A Scene', Diamond an Pearl' just to name a few. These finger popping lyrics were composed by Diplomat on cool days at his Spaulding home. He credit his insperation to artist such as Bob Marley, Garnette Silk, Nina Man and Buju Banton.
