Direct Connection is a collective musical effort which organized SUB + DUB, its own Dub laboratory in Athens in 1998, in order to explore the correlations among rythm, psycedelia and echo-chromatism.
Direct Connection is a live band which converts the studio into a dynamic implement and composes groovy sound phenomena in real time.

UNDER THE GROUND
We enjoy watching the things that happen around us:the space ,the movement,the change,the human mass and whatever lies underneath...We are observers of the life which rushes along the great avenues.
We listen carefully to the rhythm and sound of the city,those round,perpetually moving away waves of energy which in script their existence on us.Among the array of so many phenomena which are unaccounted for,making music is no less mysterious.As all deeds of that sort,it is an act of magic.
One could say that it is the most sentimental way to pronounce a name.
Essentially,however,a song always constitutes an attempt to communicate.Whether the composer
attempts to communicate with himself or the audience is,perhaps,of litlle importance.What matters
is when this communication leaves internal marks on the composer or on the listener.Quite frequently,those marks remain in scripted on both.
Our music,of course ,is being written inside us for many years.Its publication,in the form of an independent cd,is usually encouraged by some incidental reason or by the passing of time.
'Don't hesitate to tear the paper if you see that it is not working' Leandros had once told me.
But if something is of interest here,it is that the people participated,some times silently,some other times openly expressing their inner emotions.Their suspicion or admiration,their trust or their disgust.Because ,like poetry or painting,music is capable of lifting people above the trivial,the mundane and the insignificant: to quest,to approach the other...
For if man ,the listener,ceases to exist,the birth and evolution of music are pointless.It would address nooned or it would not be described or admired by anyone.A state of total solitude.
Either way,it has happened!Music has been molded in the shape of a message.It has left its creator.From now on,you can seek its whereabouts in a solution inside a bottle which you have thrown in the sea...It is necessary not only for the sea currents to flow towards the right direction,but also for the people to walk along the beaches,so that it can reach one or more of them...
