Over the last 15 years Che André has worked as Producer,
Director, Co-Director, 1.AD or Creative Director
on many international film projects, commercials, music videos,
promos, photo shootings, image films and ..aries.

born and raised in berlin-kreuzberg.
while he grew up with 5 brothers, 1 sister and no father -->
he had to learn the hard lessons of the streets in berlin.
the street struggle gave him the awareness of his own creativity.
his passion for breakdancing,streetart/grafitti and spoken words
started when he was 10 years.
the input of the worldwide creative movement
which came along with a growing hip-hop culture
gave him the ability to express his talent.
he started to capture his experiences on film and fotos.

in his youth he earned a lot of credits in the german hiphop scene
because he shot a few small ..aries and musicvideos
on legendary jam-sessions in hamburg,itzehoe,braunschweig,cologne.
a lot of underground artists turned major-artists thru his visual input.

At the age of 18 he shot with some schoolfriends a whole feature film
on S-VHS and edited the film analog on VHS.
this oldschool-techniq brought him creative credits on several festivals.
specially on the european youth film festival in hannover
he won the *new talent award* which was presented by
christoph schlingensief and blixa bargeld (einstuerzende neubauten).
this event encouraged him to continue working in the filmbusiness.
he fell in love with the creative process of producing his own ideas.
his journey started when he was 21

at university he studied film and theater science
in West-Berlin (FU) and New York City (NYU/NYFA).
In the early 90â€,,s he started working as director
for imagefilms, commercials and musicvideos
somehow he became a known director for german
hip-hop musicvideos and urban promos.
nearly all his projects where driven by creativity not by money.
he had commercial success with a lot of flics.
but the real struggle in his head never faded.
he stayed loyal to the game of the streets.
once you watch some of his work you understand why
che andre gets big RESPECT from the hiphop-community and
his street-credibility gives him a real sense of life.

he continued to broaden his knowledge by attending seminars
in LA, NYC, Cape Town, Paris, Stockholm and Berlin
he learned more about screenwriting, development,
fundraising and post-production for feature films.
his work as creative advisor and postproduction-supervisor
earned him respect from known directors and filmcompanies.

his enormous wealth of practical experience , his street-smartness and
his creative eye made him a valuable producing partner
for a lot of colleagues and new talents.

currently he is working on his first independent feature project. the working title is *Tricky Devils*...
