Biography
Dirk k is an accomplished guitarist, whose carrier begun in the early 1990s in Germany. Releasing 12 CD's as a Recording Artist on Sony, Bellaphon, Fuzzy Music and on his own independent label DIP Records, he is presenting his unique guitar style blending Jazz, Flamenco and Brazilian Music. In addition Dirk K released 3 CD's with Band projects and produced and recorded over 30 CD's for other Artists.
Dirk K performed and recorded with renowned Artists such as Randy Brecker, Peter Erskine, Toots Thielemans, Dave Weckl, Brandon Fields, Alan Pasqua, Marc Johnson, Rick Braun, Paul Taylor and many more.
Virtuous guitar runs, great grooves, presenting original composition and American Classics, Dirk K is performing well over a decade world wide and his popularity is growing by the minute.

Shawn & Kevin from LA's Rock cover band 'Forever Vinyl' are hosting an Open Mike Night at Venice Bistro on Wednesdays 23 and 30, 5:30-10pm. It's right on the Venice boardwalk and our 1st show last night was a success. Why don't you and anyone other musicians you know come on down and play a few songs? You can do originals or covers and each musician will get 2-3 songs, unless we have time for more. We have PA, mikes, electric piano, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, and percussion. This is going to be a forum for musicians to play, promote shows, give away/sell cd's and to network with other local musicians. This will be lots of fun. No cover. Hey there! I hope that you're doing great. I'm currently on tour in Europe, excited to promote the release of my new Mel Bay records CD, "The South of Everywhere" (October 2007).
I'm really excited about this recording!! It features some of my favorite musicians on the planet and I think that we captured some great moments in the studio. It features Mark Ferber on Drums and Matt Penman on Bass. We do a couple standards as a trio, and we add Gary Versace's unique touch on piano and Will Vinson's fiery and inventive alto saxophone to six of my new original tunes.
The CD is available in stores, or through internet sales starting on September 15. Please ask your local music shops to order a couple if they don't carry them.
It should be available on Itunes too....
