Dirtcaps: DJ's / Producers
Danny Groenenboom and Max Oude weernink, better known as "Dirtcaps", were born in Haarlem in 1987. As they grew up together they developed a friendship which lead to their common love for music. As youngsters they were spinning at local school partys. As the grew older the venues were getting bigger and they were asked for more serious gigs.
When they turned 15 they started to develop their producer skills. Their first release was a fact and the song "Needle Trip" had a big support all over the world.
Well known dj's as Laidback Luke, The Bulgarian, Don Diablo, Chuckie, Afrojack, Joachim Garraud, Karotte, Benny Rodriques, Mark Mendes and Quintino are charting and playing almost all of their relaeses.
They had a small "hit" with their remix for Carlo Lia "Throw Your hands up", which reached the 8th place in the Beatort chart.
Their style is unique. The best way to describe it is a mix of Techno, Techhouse, Minimal and fidget. Dirtcaps is a well known duo in Holland and they are starting to spread their wings over whole Europe. In holland they stood in almost every great venue, with recidencies and gigs at FFWD, Paradiso, Dillema, Duszdat, Stalker and Rebel Club.
Dirtcaps will certainly blow your head off, when their performing so be sure to check them out, whereever and whenever you can!
Danny Groenenboom en Max Oude Weernink vormen samen het dj- en producers-duo Dirtcaps. Deze Haarlemse jongens zijn al lange tijd bezig om hun unieke sound te optimaliseren op zowel draai- als productiegebied. Op het forum van Laidback Luke’s website werden de mannen "ontdekt " en was hun eerste release een feit. Met grote gigs als FFFDP in en door Rotterdam, Nighttime Superheroes in Paradiso, Dillema en Duszdat gaat het op draaigebied voor de wind. Ook hebben de boys meerdere residenties: Club Stalker, Duszdat, Quality Time en hosten zij 1 x per maand hun eigen avond "Hollands Deep".
Met al meer dan 15 officiële releases op hun naam timmeren ze ook op productie niveau hard aan de weg. Hun tracks worden gedraaid en gechart door nationaal en internationaal bekende dj's als: Laidback Luke, Jaimie Fanatic, MC Flipside, Jesse Voorn, Afrojack, Carlo Lia, The Bulgarian, Don Diablo, Quintino, Joachim Garraud, Quinten de Rozario en vele anderen.
De sound van de Dirtcaps is het best te omschrijven als een mix van Techhouse, Minimal en Jackin’. Toch richten de mannen zich de laatste tijd meer op de wat diepere genres. De Dirtcaps zijn nog jong en zullen de komende jaren veel van zich laten horen. Met de vele gigs en producties zal het er ongetwijfeld toe leiden dat deze mannen de planeten gaan veroveren!
