The Dirty Blues Project is a four piece Blues/Rock band based in the town of Akwesasne in upstate New York. On guitar is Glenn Hill Jr. On bass guitar is Bobby Jacobs. Providing the heartbeat for the Dirty Blues Project is Duane Greenfield on drums. Fronting the band with his raw, hard edged vocals is Cory Jacobs.
Since the band's formation in August 2003, they have released two demo cd's of original music, and are currently working on another. They have been a local favorite since they exploded onto the music scene just over five years ago. Their music is best described as blues based, with a mix of classic rock. With regular airplay from several local radio stations, they have been invited to play at many outdoor festivals and gatherings. Some of their most notable performances were as the opening act for David Wilcox, Smash Mouth, Jessica Simpson, and country music artists such as Terri Clark and Lonestar. They have also performed in New York City, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.

Last Minute blast to all our myspace friends telling you about a few announcements. First off....this Saturday we will be performing at Little Tree Studios in Avondale, GA for any of you Georgia folks, it is a part of a great event called Avondale Arts District Holiday Showy . We will be joined by Pierce Edens as well!
We also wanted to let everyone know about our New Years plans. The Mamas are going to be joined by our friends Dehlia Low for a New Years Celebration at the White Horse Black Mountain. Tickets are 20.00, and can be found at the venues website. We can't wait to play this great occassion and share it with all of you!
