Formed late in 2006, the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels were the best band to come out of sunny Bournemouth for almost a century. Playing a heady mix of beats driven indie and psychadelic surf techno, the musical establishment was in awe as to how music could be THIS good.
An album and an EP on BombFactoryRecords followed critical live acclaim, the album being released just 3 months after the bands first gig and was well received by the music scene press - 'Fuck this is good' the most noteworthy crtique.
The 'Lost in Europe' EP saw a more darker side to the Scoundrels sound emerge. The EP was more introspective and showed another dimension to the Scoundrels song writing craft.
Then in late 2007, drummer and founding member Jon Fox finally lost his battle with mental health issues and the band imploded. They scattered to the 4 corners of the globe to persue solo projects and go surfing. There was always a chance they could get back together - to finish what they started.
Tunes here are taken from the highly regarded first album and EP - available on re-issue from HoodwinkerRecords
