.:: DIRTY GRANNY TALES ::. ....Dirty granny sat once more on her old rocking chair, with the dim light from the fireplace lightening her wrinkled face. Figures, deadened by her frozen look, are watching her full of awe and dismay, waiting for her next dark fairy tale to be told. Acoustic guitars and bass, that sound in the heavy rhythm of the percussion. Sorrowfully mandolins, a violin that crawls as a reptile, a smiling piano and diverse voices, imitating characters, compose an atmospheric timbre. Dancers incarnate the characters of the fairy tale, in natural and eerie movements as well. The puppet show brings to life, on the stage, creatures from other worlds. Animation projections complete the recipe of dirty granny's fairy tales. Dirty Granny Tales, after the successful trilogy "Inversed World", come back with their new dark fairy tale titled "Rejection", inspired by the life of serial killer Ed Gein, which has been the stimulus for the creation of various murderous characters in the literature and the cinema, such as Norman Bates in Psycho, a Robert Bloch's novel and, later on, film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, or Leatherface in the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by Tobe Hooper. The story describes the relationship between a domineering mother and her son. A mother, who did not allow her child to feel love from anyone than herself. A child, whose only touch with the outside world, was through a small window. A child, for whom the game and the other children's grin always remained inaccessible. His deprived childhood turned him into a repulsive creature and his rejection by people was inevitable. His need for social contact led him to a series of murders and, finally, to the execution. The story takes place in the world of the dead. How will the other souls treat him? Will they accept him or he'll be rejected by them too? What happens when music brings puppets to life?.. It's when the Dirty Granny tells her stories….... This is not the sweet Grandma that will narrate a fairy tale for the children in front of the fireplace. She is not the one to knit a woollen scarf while the kitten cuddles on her feet..... This old woman is dirty, releasing a rotting smell. You can't define the gaze on her face, because it's absent, you can't stand the timbre of her voice because it's piercing your brain with the strength of a thousand needles. Her guise is freezing cold, makes you wonder if she belongs to your World. What kind of stories would such a creature chronicle? Not the kind that work as a lullaby… ....The more repulsive her aura, the more you become bewitched. What is that she is knitting with her nails? Would you dare to try it on? .
