Sounds Like
Blues to me...passion, deep feelings, soul, love, hurt, pain, happiness, so much joy, loss, what about you?
See our official web site: HTTP://DIRTYRIVERBAND.COM - Our purpose is to have fun, explore the blues and share an engaging hi-energy performance that connects with the audience. A band that is not afraid to try new things but still play the old delta and front porch style blues.
Dirty River, one of the best Cincinnati blues bands, plays the whole gamut of blues including originals and was one of the first blues bands featured on Cincinnati radio live. They put together, hosted and performed the earliest outdoor blues festivals to be held in Cincinnati and closed summer with a blues performance that was televised from Cincinnati's "River Fest." ----Joe Felice: Bass and vocals, Jeff Bonta: Lead guitar and vocals, Jenelle Murray: Drums and vocals
We hope all is well with you. My friend, the late great Jimmy Mc Nealy (former drummer for Wizard and the Sonny Moorman Group) passed on around this time of year, and I was thinking about him today. Jimmy's normal drink set-up was a shot of Beam and a Bud. So join with me in saying "Jimmy, this Bud's for you!" *** for those who aren't familiar with Jimmy's work, go track down a copy of Sonny Moorman's "Telegraph Road" CD. Jimmy does some awesome drum work on that recording, and his Irish tenor pipes are given a good workout, too. Check out, "Metal Cowboy Blues" for some phenomenal drum work, and Sonny and Jimmy's duo "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby" where Jimmy croons with that Irish tenor like a bird.
Sometimes I still can't believe he's gone...a good friend, and one hell-uv-a nice guy, too! I'm sure he's up there playing that "Great gig in the sky...".
Wanted to leave my newest friend a comment. :) Def let me know which song you're digging on my page and check out the video too... its pretty funny. If you wanna help me out, you can spread the love by grabbing one of my banners, or putting my video on your page as well... that would def rock! Anyhow... take care, keep in touch, and talk to ya soon!
