DIRTY STAYOUTS are a 3 piece "vintage" punk rock band from upstate NY. Their 2010 debut release "...and then there were NONE" was produced by punk legend JOE QUEER of "the QUEERs" The Album features 13 raw, quick anthems which Joe himself likened to ".... Motorhead meets Black Flag" The album was recorded on vintage analog equipment, maninly 16 track 2inch tape which challenged the band to capture the raw energy of their live shows on tape. This old school approach made the band have to get in right (or good enough) as there would be no going back to "fix it later" . a common practice of many bands, producers, and engineers in the digital age. In fact "Monster Zero Studios" didn't even have a computer. So no fake "frankenstein" takes where bands and their producers take the best parts of numerous takes and "create" a perfect (AKA-sterile,soul-less) take/song. So, no bullshit!!! Give the DIRTY STAYOUTS a listen, and what you hear is what the music actually sounds like when seeing/hearing the band live....because it is the band playing live!!! The way it alway was for PUNK, the way it should have stayed!!!!!

rotary style telephones....punk bands from '77-'82....analog recording...listening to your favorite band on vinyl......We are influenced by the raw sounds that started a revolution...the Stooges, the Germs, the Meatmen, Black Flag, the Freeze.....VINTAGE PUNK....if I had to sum up our sound in a few words....Raw..and Real.........VINTAGE PUNK!!!!!! We recorded our debut straight to 2" tape, 16-track....(By none other than: JOE QUEER, ENGINEERING & PRODUCING).....there wasn't even a computer in the studio....none of this fake ass auto tune, fix the vocals....quantize the drums so they are perfectly in time, taking the 1st part from this take, the 2nd part from that take...blah blah Frankenstein take bullshit......our recordings are us.....WARTS AND ALL.....play the song like your playing a show and catch that energy on tape.....add some vocals...mix it...and BAM!!!! Sounds Good!!!! Sounds live!!! Sounds Real....because it is!!!! No staring at squiggley lines on a computer screen, sifting through 128 "virtual tracks" ...all there is, is all we ARE....a 3-piece fucking Punk band.....Guitar, Bass, Drums, and some vocals.....that's my rant....Hope you enjoy the Music....warts and All -Rob Stayout

Old School, spit in your face, politically incorrect semi-ignorant, fully arrogant, stay out all night, drink till you puke, man children- taking drugs from kooky strangers, breakin the law, picking random fights, hoping you get slipped a mickey, falling asleep in a pile of garbage, public urination/defecation, not so silently sneaking the fuck out of the apartment of a questionable hook-up, and skulking home long after sunrise, doing the sunglasses on, hood up, head down, shuffle of the undead & hungover...... forever the- DIRTY STAYOUT--> PUNK ROCK!
