Out now on Dirty Water:
Something of a rock’n’roll supergroup, Magic Christian comprises Cyril Jordan (formerly of The Flamin’ Groovies) on guitar, Clem Burke (Blondie) on drums, Eddie Muñoz (The Plimsouls) on bass, and Paul Kopf on vocals. This is an album packed with surprises. There are hooks aplenty, layers of feedback and fuzz, mixed in with some soul harmonies, dirty blues guitar, a lot of jangle, a little twang, and a strong presence all around. Evolver is great rock’n’roll. Then again, that's exactly what one would expect with the combined talents of Magic Christian. “Get your crash helmet,” as Jose Jimenez (aka Eddie Muñoz) likes to say!

Our favourite beer swillin', bath dodgin', skirt chasin' mono men are back with another slab of 12 killer R&B/Garage tracks....St. Bo Diddley is clawing and scratching his way outta his grave so he can catch them live on their UK tour in July.
The Branded - "Shout And Holler" DWC1032
Bury St. Edmunds' teenage terrorists are back, this time with a whole different bag of sweets offered out of their car window. Whereas their first LP was Buzzcocks/Childish Garage Punk, this is more like classic 60s beat that wouldn't be out of place on Nuggets. We don't know how they do it, we don't care, we just love it.
Thee Vicars - "You Lie" DWC1030
The legendary GONN have teamed up with Dirty Water to release a storming single, "Don't Need Your Lovin'". One of the absolutely wildest of all sixties garage bands, from Keokuk, Iowa (don't laugh, the wildest were mainly from backwaters, not big cities), they are best known for the classics "Blackout of Greteley" and "Doin' Me In".
GONN - "Don't Need Your Lovin'" DWC1029
The Branded are back with a new 7" on Dirty Water: She's My Woman b/w Justine. She's My Woman was originally released on Raven's End Records (the band's own label) but only 100 were pressed due to a mistake by the presser. After a deluge of requests we have decided to re-release this masterpiece.
The Branded - "She's My Woman" b/w "Justine" DWC1028
Boston's Muck and the Mires are back with their best album yet: "Hypnotic", produced by Kim Fowley & Maria Baglien. 12 tracks of their unparalleled Hamburg-Beatles-Meets-Ramones 2-minute masterpieces wrapped up in an amazing 3D sleeve with 3D glasses included!
Muck and the Mires - "Hypnotic" DWC1027LP/CD
London's newest R&B-punk sensation – okay, maybe our only R&B-punk outfit – are making fun times where ever they go. With a repertoire encompassing many of the greats of the ’50s and ’60s you won't be able to help but move your feet. The King howls like Screaming Jay Hawkins with Bo Diddley chasing his coat-tail and with Andre Williams trying to offer up some of his bacon fat. This man never stops shakin' and twistin' and groovin' while the Cumberland 3 (former members of the Ulcers, Chinese Lungs and Parkinsons) play their own
branded mix of vintage rockabilly desperate rock'n'roll and a bit of soul with fire, energy, gusto and fun!
King Salami and the Cumberland 3 - "Do The Wurst" DWC1026
The Wildebeests, true purveyors of the 'Dimbo beat' and all round Din meisters, are back with their cracking new single "One Minute's Time", released 19 January 2009 on Dirty Water Records, double a-sided single with their classic track "Lucinda".
The Wildebeests - "One Minute's Time" c/w "Lucinda" DWC1025
Another stunning Garage band to come out of Dublin, The Revellions were originally an instrumental surf band. With a pounding rhythm section, a swirling Farfisa keyboard, a guitar player shooting out riffs like early morning target practice and a psychotic vocalist screaming like a drunken banshee, The Revellions know how to keep it primitive. Very fast, very loud, very cool.
The Revellions - "The Revellions" DWC1024LP/CD
Bury St. Edmunds' teenage terrorist's début album. 16 scorching Garage Punk tracks that prove them worthy disciples of Buzzcocks, Billy Childish and The Mummies. Already they are coming on stage in their home town of Bury St Edmunds to Beatlemania type screams from local teenage girls. The band’s manic energy is palpable, they hit you with a jolt, almost like receiving an electric shock. But then one would hope that would be the case if you were still aged aged just 17 and playing raw rock’n’roll that is shot through with a punk and garage band aesthetic, whilst visually resembling The Jam in 1978 (but a whole lot better looking).
Thee Vicars - "Back On The Streets" DWC1023LP/CD
The Kits - "Primitive Tales" DWC1023LP/CD
Los Peyotes "Introducing Los Peyotes" DWC1021LP/CD
Los Peyotes "BDAAA!!!" DWC1020

The Kits "Don't Want To Lose This Fight" DWC1017
The Branded "The Branded" DWC1016LP/CD
Hollywood Sinners "We Won't Change Our Style" DWC1015LP/CD
