“ My role in society, or any artists or poets role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all. ”

i thought I had thanked you for your lovely blog comments... I did in my head, but that does not count... your poetry... wow. simply wow. And yes, thank you for your wonderful words in my blog and in your poetry.
I agree. Yet I have experienced great patience that may have been more damaging than good. I like your poem yet the irony to be able to give that selflessly is you have to tend to one's self... not more, yet the other would want you to: mutual responsibility… and mutual like and respect. You think deep and with heart. And I thank you.
That is why, the genius in joy is so important to be able to tap into... yes, it is fleeting-though it is something to strive for and you do not lose your intelligence by being silly every now and again. plus it may at first hurt more to let joy in... i think joy and hope are so risky for the heart and mind; yet extremely healing. All just thoughts... i too like you, are both student and teacher.
