| About Disbonded |
Disbonded is not a real band. Not anymore. They don't play gigs, they never have. They're a side project. A one-off, if you will.
Take the remnants of a group of Alaskan musicians transplanted in Seattle, called The Bond, who were a local favorite for some time. Just before The Bond went bust, they were asked to contribute a song to an Oingo Boingo tribute album. They were the very first band asked to participate.
As mentioned, the band broke up, as so many bands do, but the remaining members still wanted to contribute the song. They'd worked up an arrangement, it was good, and they knew they could still do a great job.
And so, with the entrance of a friend from another band, Disbonded was born, and existed only long enough to record an exceptional version of Boingo's tune "On The Outside" for the album.
For the record, this MySpace page was not created by the members of Disbonded. This page was created and is maintained by the record label who is putting out the Boingo tribute. You can read more about that here, or here.
