A Bahraini-Colombian entity of Producer/DJs living on the Kingdom island of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf.
"We've loved and understood Electronic Music (especially House) since an early age, and have experienced the joys that people and producers alike go through while clubbing or simply listening to music at home and creating it.
-Adel"
History: Adel (a.k.a. Ace) AbdulRahim Ebrahim Jamal learnt the art of DJ'ing at the age of 14, which was back in 1997 at the Inferno Club in Bahrain with the help of most respected DJ-GiLSphere, and the pinnacle of his mixing abilities came later .. he bought his first Technics TurnTables and installed them at home. He then passed knowledge down to his blood-brother, Anwar A.R. Jamal by teaching him TurnTable mixing techniques first as opposed to his own acquiring of CD deck mixing techniques first.
He shortly after then started delving in-depth and exploring the boundaries of House Music and chose to specialize himself in the genre, which prompted him to start making his own first set of beats a while before, back in the year of 1998.
In 2002-2003, Adel ventured into the world of Hip-Hop accompanied by 2 childhood friends, and was incharge of producing while writing rhymes under the guise of "Platinum", and ended up with a 3 tracker EP that hit the radio waves on the island.
The first LP was released through the online record label www.NextDimensionMusic.com in 2004 under the alias "Los Colombeechez" after teaming-up with Anwar, and since then, the range of sound & production skills have been at a stead-fast development stage to be able to deliver that sound that is "DiscaL".
Yet most remains unfinished, Adel is looking to completely finalize all the projects, with the assistance of Anwar, to then release the sounds that will identify & expose "DiscaL" to the World as his brainchild ...
A reply from Adel to the question "What is DiscaL?":
'Well, DiscaL to me is supposed to be pronounced with a Hispanic accent. It's as if you were saying "Mental" or "Central" for instance, while bearing in mind that the word "Disc" is generally used to refer to a thin, circular shaped object ie. 1- A phonograph 12"/vinyl/record. 2- A Compact Disk.
And, in combination with the actual meaning of "Discal" which is a scientific term that is usually adopted to define a "Hernia" in the Human backbone which is caused by severe stress & damage to the spinal column (ie. from all the dancing/nodding we put you through).
It's also the name of the first 3 track E.P. we released on NDM back in 2004 under the alias of "Los Colombeechez" which you can hear through our BeatPort players, or by searching online.'
