About Discarded Days - Journey Now Avaliable on CD!
So here it is boys and girls! We have come to the end of our journey and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it...almost. Here are a selection of songs from our album, Journey, and a couple that we have revisited, the full length album will follow this shortly. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and patience and we hope that you enjoy listening to this music as much as we have enjoyed creating it!
Discarded Days, formed in March 2007, is a 5-piece alternative rock band from Harrogate. One that does not follow trends, or write music just for its popularity. We are simply one of the many bands in the area who are trying to revive a somewhat dead genre in music today, we compose our music because it is what we want to hear and it is what we like listening to.
Our sound comprises of a total mess of influences we encompass in our playing, with each member bringing something different to this soup of confusion, Killswitch Engage, Craig David and Whitesnake to name but a few. Since Easter in 2007, these influences have played a key role in the development of Discarded Days' sound, which since the release of the first single, FIX, has kept progressing, and has now become what is yet to be heard in the the forthcoming studio Album/EP entitled, Journey, due for release late September.
After just under a year in the making, "Journey" has now been completed with the help of Leeds-based producer and musician, David Beebee. Also starring guest vocalist Anna Manetta-Stark on the track "Speechless", this record is sure to convey how different and diverse the band is in every song, wowing every listener in the process.
Despite awaiting the release of Journey, we are already working on very promising new material, arguably even more diverse than the last, not surprisingly the new material is still sounding as if it has come from a Dog Town, so don't be expecting even more songs just yet!
