Parties, Weddings & Corporate Events, Clubs

Aside from radio and club work Mark has a high quality mobile dj system and a solid resume featuring weddings of all sizes and events. He has an extensive collection of pop music from the 60's to the present, jazz, lounge, tiki era and punk, making him expertly qualified to entertain any crowd.

New York City based DJ Mark Flynn made his reputation in the mid 90's as a master of the wheels of steel, while living in Boston, MA, and weekly host of WZBC's live mix program " Disc Error". The radio show was Boston's premier live mix/ live pa electronica program which featured Mark Flynn and guests, including such luminaries as Evil Eddie Richards, Joel Mull, Christian Smith, The Kooky Scientist and a bevy of Boston's best and brightest dj's and performers.
In 1980, Mark began a 22-year stint as a weekly fixture on two of Boston’s most popular community radio stations, MIT affiliated WMBR and Boston College affiliated WZBC. Mark was the weekday sports announcer on the Late Risers Club (1980 –1982) and co-host of the weekly comedy sports call-in program, The Sports Palace (1980 – 1983).
An avid record collector, Mark found his true calling as one of the weekly host of the Late Risers Club (1982 – 1987) one of the USA’s first program devoted to punk, indie rock and its various manifestations. In 1987 he moved over to WZBC as it’s weeknight programming offered more creative avenues to explore new music in non-rock forms.
By 1997 his program, Disc Error, had evolved into a weekly live dj format which, until 2002 featured live mix sets by a vast amount of dj’s from Boston and beyond.
Mark packed his vinyl and moved to NYC in 2000 where he has held numerous dj residences and programmed music twice weekly in one of countries most prestigious department stores, Bergdorf Goodman. He can now be found working the wax at Anima@Naima, for Naima Restaurant & Lounge in the heart of the club district on Manhattan as well as Onda in the South Street Seaport. Influenced by such artists as Miguel Migs, Roger Sanchez, The Mad professor, Plastic Man, Mark is a dj that not only can match beats, but relishes mixing genres as varied as deep house, progressive house, dub and techno.
Mark's been a featured dj in Amsterdam, Berlin and Munich. Mark has a new studio space in his loft, and will be continuing his experiments in music production.
