Discidium: Old Latin, meaning separation, division, disagreement, tearing apart. Discidium formed in 2001 by youngsters from a farm town in Western New York. The bands outline was simply to complete a project that would encompass everything that they had learned from the classic metal gods who had filled stadiums before them. The speed of Metallica. The groove of Pantera. The melody of Iron Maiden. The heaviness of Black Sabbath. After a few years of rough demos, member changes, and hard work, in 2007 Discidium entered the recording studio to create 'In Reprisal' with producer Anthony Brown. The finished product is available now.
