Are you having a cocktail hour? Is it in the same room as reception? A one-hour cocktail hour would add $100.
If it is in another room, on another floor, or outside we will need to set up an additional sound system -- a mini sound system -- at an additional $100.

There are no "hidden charges." We don't offer "special" discounts, "catchy" promotions or "if you book us today" incentives because our regular prices reflect our commitment to quality service at reasonable prices all the time. That's right, all the time. We don't pressure you with any hard-sell sales pitches.
Our commitment is "Quality doesn't have to be expensive." Don't put your party in the hands of amateurs or overpriced prima-donnas.
A complete 4-hour CLASSIC EVENT for only $400. This includes most types of parties: (Anniversaries, Birthdays, Christenings, Communions, Retirements, Reunions, Sweet Sixteens, Wedding Engagements, and Corporate events).
A complete 4-hour PRESTIGE EVENT for only $500. This includes Wedding Receptions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, New Year's Eve and other major holidays.
Overtime
Each additional Half Hour: $50.00
For example
4-Hour Wedding Reception (PRESTIGE EVENT) $500.
1-Hour Cocktail Hour (1-Hour Overtime) $100.
1/2-Hour Ceremony (1/2-Hour Overtime) $50.
Total: $650.
Based on Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception all held in same room.

Lighting Effects
Lighting Effects transform the dance floor into an exciting disco atmosphere. Each of Disc Jakey's lighting packages produces an exciting addition to your event. We offer over 12 lighting effects in four packages to fit into any budget. Most are sound-activated to "move to the beat of the music" and help motivate your guests.
Our most popular package consists of 3 or 4 sound-activated effects that "move to the beat" of the music. At a very affordable $100, this package makes a great addition to any party.
Optional electronic mirrored ball effect and professional strobe for an additional $25 each, to further customize your event. Our electronic mirrored ball effect is an updated version of the traditional disco mirrored ball and a really cool effect. The professional strobe offers that "stutter" effect reminiscent of the psychedelic late 1960s and early 1970s. Another cool effect.
FOR A LIMITED TIME, Disc Jakey is offering these two effects FREE OF CHARGE with the Lighting Package.

Additional Sound Equipment - Mini Systems
Additional Sound Equipment when music or amplification is needed in another room, on another floor, or outside. For example: when cocktail hour or ceremony are held in another room, on another floor, or outside).
Our "Mini System" is a portable version of our main system and includes a power amplifier, mixer, speakers and CD player.

Microphone Setup
When a wedding cremony takes place at the location, often guests cannot hear the officiator or the bride and groom's vows. We offer our own Disc Jakey exclusive-designed 3-Microphone Setup which allows three microphones to attach to a single heavy-duty stand for an uncluttered, neat appearance. One microphone each for bride, groom and minister/officiator. With this setup, your guests will bear witness to your vows.

DJ Assistant
For maximum guest involvement. Allows disc jockeys to be more interactive in leading guests in popular group participation dances and activities.

How To Be a Professional DJ
Since 1994 Jake Conte has presented seminars on "How To Get Started As A Professional DJ." He is developing a hands-on course on what it takes to become a professional working DJ. The course will be offered in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland and Delaware.

Christian Music
In 2008 Jake began exploring his Christian faith and also became interested in Christian contemporary music. As a DJ he can now offer popular Christian music in addition to the other music at parties. As a musician and producer he has joined a Christian music team as electric bass player and is planning to produce recordings of Christian music.
