With 15 years of experience behind the decks, Danny Smash FX aka DiscoD knows how to rock the crowd! Always playing on the harder edge he definitely is not a DJ for the “deep” or “minimal” moments – his music is definitely more ass shaking and booty banging than chin stroking!
After playing styles like UK Hardcore, DnB and real Techno in the 90’s he got fascinated by the so called Nu Skool Breaks sound – a new style of Breakbeat at moderate 130 bpm. With his long time partner Tony Smash FX they were the most successful Swiss DJ team for over ten years, playing all over Switzerland at the best clubs and biggest festivals, supporting acts like The Prodigy, Moby, Faithless or Kosheen. Smash FX released 3 mix CD’s on Universal Records.
The next Mix CD will come in May 2008 (watch this space for more info!).

Fascinated by acts like Soulwax, Justice, The Crookers or Simian Mobile Disco he decided to go new ways and moved in the direction of the Nu Rave, Distortion Disco and Mash Up scene.
Combining this style with Breaks and Electro and even some 80’s influences from his childhood gives DiscoD the freedom to play tracks from different directions, mixing it together to create something new.

Gschpaenli, Banga and DiscoD started a new party series called KILLER that is representing this sound. KILLER is bringing a fresh breeze of air into the Zurich nightlife and is already a big success, after just a few events.
