   About Disco-nected...
At the moment it is hard to define the exact musical composition for a night at Disco-nected as we have such a wide musical taste, belive that no good music should be excluded and the night is only in its infancy. Therefore, the Dj's on any given night have almost total control over the direction that the night will take and aim to make each one different. As a result this will not be a banging techno night, nor will it be obscure for the sake of obscure as we still want you guys to have a good time! Our influences are wide ranging as can be seen at the side, and as such we will aspire to bring the best music of every type to the club and (try) to put it together in some sort of danceable mannor. However the only true way to grasp exactly what we are about is to come down to the club and praise the discoball.

Red Star goes weekly!

Thursday 6th September @ Red Bar & Club, Edinburgh.

This week to celebrate our new weekly residency we've got a couple of underground Edinburgh legends, The Physicist and Bill Spice who have been active in the scene for many years playing at Synthetic, Curios, Loop, Dogma, and numerous other parties and events.

As a special treat we have a couple of live acts visiting from Newcastle bringing an altogether different sound! Andfullstop plays chip tunes mashed up with jungle and glitch, pretty much like the Sega Megadrive in 92 with the amen break transposed and glitched up in the background! USJ (unitsoundjunk) brings us his own brand of techno and acid house with bouncy arpegiators and harsh beats,
a powerful flow of detroit influence.

This being the case we've brought together a storming line up of some of Edinburgh's favourite breaks and drum n bass DJs and support as always from the Red Star Institute.

The 25th Century VJs will be providing the visual stimulation in the main room and the music in room 2 this week will be provided by the National Grid and Dogtooth DJs, expect indie, disco, electro, punk!

Just because the festival is ending doesn't mean the quality of the club nights will change, coming up over the next couple of months we have Kev Wright, P-Haze, Wee DJs, Hostage, The Marcia Blaine School for Girls and Neil Templar to name but a few!
