Well, the whole thing began back in 2005 in a Mexican city called Guadalajara. Derek and former lead guitarist Alan Asher formed a band called "The cave" along with former drummer John Martínez. They recorded an 11 songs demo called "A really cold day" in june 2006. They played together for a little more than a year. Then John was replaced by Drummer Norman Martínez due by his issues with Aldo. The name of the band had already changed to "Discordem" which means "to not agree" in Portuguese. It stayed like that for the next 9 months when the band split. After moving from city to city trying to pull this thing together, singer J.Derek Burgueño moved to Seattle in mid 2008 and found Eland Landis to be the new drummer of the band and Ray "Charles" Andrews the lead guitarist. They played together for about a year until Ed and Ray could not commit anymore. Christopher Missler joined the band in May 2010 as the new lead guitarist of the band. Later on, along came drummer Colin Bartels to join the project. Currently, they're looking for a bass player. -
