Discorporate Records has been formed to bring out Chicago's finest underground music that is not pretty or glamorous enough to be played in the so called "Scene". The label is run by the members of each band , for the members of each band and the ideaology is the label will only be as strong as the members involved. We hope to work together to help the empowerment of all people involved and gain our wealth through knowledge and experience rather than capitalistic goals .
Wardenclyfe Studios is where all the music is recorded on various droids and tape handlers. Droidbot 3325 disk handling unit stored many a waveform at Champs Rock room from 2006-2008 . The Coltrane interface is equipped with Pro Tools 16trk .
The label is not conforming to one certain kind of music . I hope to make this a collective of musicians and bands who will come together for the art , not the money. If you wanna be on MTV , this is not for you !!!!!
Music is becoming more independent by the second . A group of friends can start multiple bands and a label ,run it all from their computer and travel the world. How awesome is that ?? The corporate record companies will hopefully all fall and go bankrupt . The internet and file sharing will bring art & independence back to music and stop all these greedy capitalists who want to sell an image and products to our children .
Nothing wrong with making money to survive or fund projects , but greed and overindulgence is the capitalist problem - Too much - Too fast and right now .
