Discs-On-Demand is a revolutionary new service, developed to help independent musicians, record labels and filmmakers release CD’s and DVD’s on-line - without spending the earth. It’s been designed to serve the needs of those who wish to release physical copies of their material – in retail standard packaging – without having to purchase large amounts of expensive stock. It links directly from social-networking sites such as Myspace and Facebook – eliminating the need for any IT expertise or additional expenditure.
How it works..
Step by step;
1) Download our simple to use CD/DVD sleeve/disc design software
2) Send us your CD/DVD master, a separate CDR containing your disc artwork and your basic disc setup fee (this can be paid via paypal if preferred)
3) We'll set up your disc for automated on-demand manufacture at our Edinburgh HQ. We'll also send you 2 copies of your finished disc.
4) Your customers place orders through a link at your social network page (all payments are taken via PayPal for added security).
5) D-O-D ship the CD/DVD to your customer, deduct our CD manufacturing charge and pass you the profit back to you every month.
Advantages
Cost - Having worked with a large number of independent musicians, record labels and film makers, we understand the cost of having to order minimum runs of 500-1000 discs. We know how hard it is to sell anything like enough copies to make back the money spent purchasing this stock – never mind the cost of actually producing the music/film in the first place. By utilizing the D-O-D service, you can effectively release an unlimited quantity of your CD/DVD without spending any more than the cost of the initial set-up fee (currently £29.99). We don’t mind if you sell 5 or 500 copies – your disc will always be available.
Product - D-O-D understand the time and effort that goes into producing your art. We understand the need to ensure that the physical product that is shipped to your customer has been carefully produced to a high standard. As such, we only use the highest quality CD’s and DVD’s available to the market, the best duplication equipment available, on-disc printers rather than disc labels, high specification laser quality printed paper parts and retail standard Jewel cases.
Simplicity - we understand that artists would rather spend their time mastering their art than dealing with the complexities of manufacturing discs, maintaining on-line shops and managing orders. We also understand that many do not have the physical space to store large quantities of unsold stock. By utilizing the D-O-D service you need do no more than send us your product, copy the link into your myspace/facebook site, then sit back and wait for the monthly payments(!).
