About Disembodiment ( Vince Wheeler 1/14/81 to 8/25/09)
"Like a train through a china shop!" Disembodiment comes at you with a sonic assault of blastbeats, breakdowns, grinds, and barbaric vocals.
Formed in early 2007 from the remains of previous bands
in the local metal scene, they set out with nothing to prove
and wanting to create something that would make your ears bleed!
Led by Vince Wheeler on vocals, Jonathan Powell and Michael "Driggs" Driggers on guitars, Matt Caruthers on drums, and Jeremy "Big Jerm" Brown
on bass. The band quickly entered Diet of Worms Studios with producer Juan
"Punchy" Gonzales (Morbid Angel, Diabolic, Terrorizer) to record a 3 song demo of their first material. From there they have taken their punishing live act to
stages throughout the region. With a no frills, no bullshit mentality, this makes
this band a force to be reckoned with.

condolences might not be enough at the time, but i must say a word or two for the guy we all knew. life is short and you never know when your time is. much love to the friends i have and the time we share together. now is a time for reflection and reminition and re-definition. love to everyone who feels the blankness that comes in such a time, and remember that life can only be defined by the experiences we have...not only the good but also the bad. i love you guys... rip vince.
my deepest condolences for you guys... im very sorry and saddened to hear about your loss... i knew vince... but not very well... i have only spoke to him a few times. but alls i can do is tell you guys i hope you all the best and hopefully we can all hang sometime... and im sure he wouldnt want us to mourn his death but celebrate his life... with metal and beer! if i could throw out an idea... i think a benefit show would be essential in his honor!
