Nothing makes this kid happier then playing & listening to the music he loves, & Raye Antonelli is lucky enough to have made it a permanent part of his everyday life in regard to work & play

Self confessed as Australia’s worst ten pin bowler & according to most not much better at putt putt, Raye is not completely shit at everything and is Currently ranked no. 8 in Australia and no.4 in is home state of Queensland based on the current 2008 Technics Inthemix top 50 dj poll. Raye has cemented himself as one of the states most popular DJ's holding his rank 3 years running as one of QLD's top 5 DJ's and quickly emerging himself as one of the country’s next big things according to many [not quite sure who though...]. Raye bases himself at his weekly friday & saturday nite residency at Platinum nightclub.

Regularly plays a host of guest spots throughout QLD & frequently causes havoc […so he says, this is to be confirmed] down south and over international borders every now & again playing to date at clubs & events including YU, Lady Lux, Moulin Rouge, Code, Kink, Rouge Rock’R, Excess, Smut, Purple Sneakers, Valve, Tramp, Any Given Sunday & has been known to rock many a bedroom wall & family bbq.

Raye frequently pops up at the major festivals as well, strutting around with his vip artist pass around his neck like a true budding Z grade celebrity & is a regular fixture at major festivals such Summafieldayze , Future Music Festival, Parklife , BBQ breaks, Good Vibrations, Round & Round, Global Gathering amongst others.

With a style self described as: "Soulwax riding shotgun with Michael J Fox in his Delorean back to '93 to visit Carl Cox @Fantazia, before dropping by Berlin to pick up Jesse, Alex, Claude & Modesleketor squashing them in the backseat before making our final stop at a DFA tea party..." Raye's core sound revolves around quirky bottom end nu disco, robot house & quirky glitchy tech. Raye's wide appreciation of all styles of music however allows his sound to be quite versatile and dependent on the gig, crowd and overall feel his sound can range through many styles of and may contain any music in general that he likes regardless of genre or fancy style name he can make up for it.

All this has given Raye the opportunity to rock the spot alongside & share the stage with some of the most talented & personally influential acts & djs including: Cassius, Boys Noize, Surkin, Carl Cox, Bloc Party, Cajuan, Para One, Kissy Sell Out, Derrick Carter, Tom Neville, Larry Tee, Jesse Rose, Beastie Boys, Sander Kleinenberg, Chris Lake, Sasha, Switch, Yelle, Alan Braxe, Kris Menace, Jona, King Unique, Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli, D Ramirez, Feede Le Grand, Mark Knight, DJ Falcon, Sharam Jey, Tommie Sunshine, Play Paul, Roger Sanchez, Junior Jack & Kid Creme Greenskeepers, Tom Novy, Ewan Pearson, Paul Harris, Tim Deluxe, Luke Fair, Xpress 2, Sarah Main, Benny Bennasi, MYNC Project, Spencer Parker, Dirt Crew, CJ Bolland, Princess Superstar, Darren Emerson, Groove Armada, Yousef, Moguai and more as well as playing regularly playing alongside Australia’s finest.

Most recently Raye has entered the realms of mix compilations, selected by Music heavyweight Ministry of Sound to mix disc 2 of their Clubbers Guide to Spring 2008. An extensive national tour & long term hangover coincided with the release seeing Raye travel to all corners of Australia as well as New Zealand.

Raye's genuine interest in the scene, local especially, has seen him over time host his own radio shows on Gold Coasts only dedicated dance music station 105.7 Radio Metro while also trying his hand at music journalism for a few street presses along the way. On top of this Raye has spent time working a handful of promotional campaigns & holding the enviable task of musical director for fashion shows of sorts where there's plenty of free champagne on offer

Raye is also one half of production outfit Pow! Pow! ,alongside good chum Wongo. Still not even a year young they have already had their first two remixes signed to Ministry of Sound & Domino records with things only starting to warm up and a string of remixes and original production scheduled for 2009 and beyond.

When not DJ'ing or making music, Raye keeps himself busy in other areas of the scene. Predominately with running One Hit Wonder Media, as well as every now and then hosting a little shindig by the name of Show Pony.

During the week i put my jack of no trades hat on & run a company called One Hit Wonder Media alongside some good pals of mine. It is a boutique touring / artist mgt / event mgt / consulting company which brings musical artists we like to aus as well as representing aus artists we think are cool plus theres other bits and pieces we do but yeah thats the drift

When not dedicating my time to music, i spend my days mastering the art of folding shirts as owner & operator of my own retail store Luxe. Its is a street boutique / vintage store stocking + supporting a host of local and national labels for guys + girls along with local artists and some american vintage thrown in for good measure. The more you get to know me the more you will realise i dont take my self too seriously nor do i take things too seriously that dont warrant it, But more so i focus and put my energy into what is important and what matters in my life

The rest of my time is taken up by surrounding myself & spending time with the greatest group of people i get to call my family & friends, without them life would be pretty dull
