New Arrivals available now at Disgruntled Mailorder!!

A Global Threat     "Where The Sun Never Sets"     CD     (BYO)    $12.00
Since their inception in 1997, this Boston based band has been steadily building a reputation as one of the more original and respected bands in underground punk.  17 all new well thought out songs both hard and aggressive, yet tuneful and musically solid

Agression     "Live 1987: Locals Only"     CD    (Mystic)    $11.00
Oxnard hardcore skate/surf punk favorites captured here on three seperate live recordings from 1987.  Included are tracks recorded at the infamous Fender's Ballroom in Long Beach,  a KCPR radio appearance in Santa Barbara, and a few songs from the Underground Railroad in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Ape City R&B     "She's Candy Coated"     7"    (Trash Punk)    $4.00
Self released single from this bad ass new band. Like any bands debut single should be, this is a total ripper!!  Here’s what Savage Magazine had to say: “Wow, a mighty new band that’s kinda like a mix of the Gories and the Mummies... Sounds cool huh?  It is! A two man band outta (I think) Oregon. These two songs are stompin’ and ravin’.  Wild as fuck, trashed out and with a great goddamn beat. They’re like, made for dancing! Yeah!” .  A great little single.

The Bill Bondsmen     "Swinging Sounds Of"     7"    (Fourteegee)    $4.00
Detroit’s THE BILL BONDSMEN are a beer soaked, blue-collar rhino charge, smart enough to know what a tight band should sound like, and wise enough not to give a shit if folks don’t get it. "Take Me off Your List' is the obvious sparkling gem on this brief demo, greeting you like a free pitcher of PBR at the bowling alley. The style is 80s HC-based, but not 80s bound. The shout-along choruses and exceedingly crisp drums made this one an all-around improvement from their last demo....  “Human Veal” closes it up like a close encounter with a kick boxer – speedy, ragged, and tough. In the final analysis, those signature tempo fluctuations (or should I say flatulations?) spell out that peachy keen BONDSMEN sound. “The Swinging Sounds…” wins with simultaneous props for bringing back the style of American classics bands like APARTMENT 3G, while adding some sparkles of fresh anthem-craft that sparkles like stripper glitter and bottle caps on the scummy cement floor."  - Peacedogman

Checkers     "Running With Scissors"     CD    (Teenacide)    $11.00
The second full-length release from the Checkers is an ambitious explosion of new sounds and new flavors. The album opens with a song called "Invitation" that sounds like something Pink Flag-era Wire might play if Joan Jett decided to front the band, and ends with a song called "Bass Wolf," a dark ’n’ delicious tribute to the late bassist of Japan’s Guitar Wolf that includes one of the band’s most impressive riffs. In between, the music flashes by fast and furious in shades of blue and gray that match the album’s stark cover photo of a pair of scissors placed against a slightly blood-spattered black backdrop.  Sure, there are several moments of punk/pop splendor that’ll convince those already in-the-know that the Checkers still know how make first-rate powerpop - but there’s plenty here that will prick the ears of anyone who had planned on writing them off as a bunch of new wave revivalists simply hooked on getting teenage kicks

Cheeraks/Normals     "Rock N Roll Protocol Is A Big Baboom"     10"    (Yakisakana)    $10.00    French Import
The CHEERAKS/NORMALS split 10” includes 5 new songs by THE CHEERAKS which are their twisted interpretation of garage punk, country and gospel !!!  As usual don't expect straight garage music!!  THE NORMALS (CHEERAKS minus Meeloo but with an additional organ player) is a soulful garage punk band who present 6 future classics on their debut appearance. Cool 10” and packed in a sharp lookin 10” jacket!!

DC Snipers     "Missile Sunset"     CD/LP    (Deadbeat)    $11.00/$9.00
Now this is something to get EXCITED about.   A total winner here that plays good all the way through.  Just a super-solid release that is maybe the best thing Deadbeat has ever put out!!  The DC Snipers from NYC bring something different to the table with each of the 11 tracks on this album; and it’s hard to do that and actually end up with a record that’s good!   But the Snipers have proven it’s not impossible. This album is not only good it's great!!  Taking cues from other musical pioneers like the Screamers, Gang of Four, Urinals and the Electric Eels; the DC Snipers forge into their own fragmented, audience-less sector and begin to build a following based on songs that are undeniably catchy without sticking to a musical ‘script’.  The most difficult part of being in a proto/art punk/whatever band like this: is to do something completely inovative and different, yet still leaving the listener with something loosely ill defined to grasp onto and the DC Snipers completely nail that.  RECOMMENDED.

Dead Lazlo's Place     "Twelve Ounce Inspiration"     CD    (Burning Tree)    $11.00
Melodic Southern California hardcore band release an all new 14 song CD which also includes two videos of drunk punk lunacy.  These guys have been at it for awhile now and show no signs of slowing down.  Members have also played in such noteworthy bands as UK Subs, Badtown Boys, and Foreign Object.  For fans of Snuff, Leatherface, etc...

Deche Dans Face     "s/t"     10"    (Yakisakana)    $10.00    French Import
"Who is Deche Dan? Why is there a band named after his face?  I don't know. I do know this French two-piece has been kicking since 1995 or so, and actually released an LP and a few singles years ago (including one on SubPop!?). I have never heard them mentioned by anyone outside of a couple Frenchmen, and I have never heard or seen any of their records until this point. What do they sound like? Well, ahem, it's blues. Punk. Or something close to it. On this 10" you get six tracks that were recorded in 2000, in some girl's living room somewhere in Bordeaux. And it has that homey kind of feel to it, and a nice big and blown-out, loud and live recording sound. If I was in that living room I am sure I would have loved it. The drumming's adept, and you get a lot of guitar sounds thrown out at you, including some lap steel. The A-Side rocks well. The B-Side has one rocker, one slow jam, and ends with a soundtrack-y mood piece. In between the tunes you get conversation in foreign tongues, the sounds of instruments being moved/tuned, and other very casual elements. You can imagine the wine being poured and the brown cigarettes being smoked to butts as they launch into another tune. An interesting exercise in home recording. The music is good, but it's the loose vibe you get listening, and the intimate feel of the moment in time it was recorded in translated to you via the vinyl that makes this a noteworthy record. Not something I'd play a lot, but something I enjoyed hearing." (Terminal Boredom)

    Deprived     "Deprived Discography 89-92"     CD/LP    (Headline)    $11.00/$10.00
DEPRIVED were the leaders of a major political punk rock movement that swept Portland during the late 80's and early 90's which also included the likes of RESIST, UNAMUSED and GODLESS.  This long-overdue compilation combines all three of their classic 7 ep's plus five additional unreleased tracks!!  Deprived is one of the most respected anarcho-punk bands ever who's influence still reverberates in the punk movement to this day.  They capture a sound fueled by anger and frustration and a spirit of rebelling in the streets armed with a molotov cocktail and ready to burn this fascist system to the ground while pissing on department stores.  Members later went on to form bands such as DEFIANCE, DETESTATION and others.  The cover for both the CD and LP is a fold-out 24 x 36" poster sleeve!!

Failure Face     "Complete Failure"     CD    (Burrito)    $11.00
A forty song CD, clocking in at just over 55 minutes. Features the music from all four, out of print Failure Face records (released 1993-96), one compilation song and a complete live set. Full color front and back cover.  Twenty-four page CD booklet featuring all lyrics, liner notes, detailed discography, and tons of great photos. Fans of Negative Approach, Voorhees, Capitol Punishment and Infest should check this sucker out.

Fashion Fashion And The Image Boys     "Over Before It Ever Began"     7"        (Florida's Dying)    $4.00
Cool new single from this great Florida band. Screamed Reatardish vocals over tight aggressive in your face punk. 4 songs, good shit. Fans of the Feelers, Buttercups, Catholic Boys will dig. Keep an eye out for them on the upcoming Killed By Track compilation on P. Trash Records.

Filthy Thieving Bastards     "Pappy Was A Pistol"     CD/LP    (BYO)    $12.00/$9.00
The Filthy Thieving bastards offer up one of the most heartfelt and original records this side of the pub. Often compared with folk rock luminaries, The Pogues, and once described as "Billy Bragg as a crusty old punk on a bender". FTB feature members of such noteworth bands as Swinging Utters, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and a very special guest appearance by Spider Stacy of the Pogues.

    Hips     "s/t"     7"    (Goin Underground)    $4.00
The debut 7" ep from Bakersfield, CA's own HIPS Four tracks of great 60's influenced garage punk, limited 1 time pressing of only 600 copies.  Cool release and hard to find.
Live Fast Die     "Bandana Thrash Record"     CD/LP    (Deadbeat)    $11.00/$9.00
Pure anger fueled rock n roll with songs that have hooks and undeniable energy despite the ‘studio-less’ recording process.  It’s harsh production is pretty noisy, stripped down and in your face, and the sound quality varies from track to track - yet it all adds to the charm of this release and the strength of these raw ass, nihilistic, scum fuck rock n roll songs screams through. The manic guitar butchery practically rips yer frickin head off and mesh nicely with Camero Werewolfs menacing raspy snarl.  Yer brain cells ain’t gonna get any bigger by listening to this album, but it is a pretty goddamn fun ride!!  Just sheer energy song after song!  Ya, the GG and the Jabbers comparisons are well deserved. You can also hear bits and pieces of other great bands like the Pagans, Lewd, Ramones and the Mentors on this album!   THE VINYL INCLUDES AN LP ONLY BONUS TRACK called ‘Bandada Thrash’.  So the name of the LP/CD is named after the bonus track on the wax!!  It’s both clever and idiotic at the same time, but suits Live Fast Die perfectly!

Live Fast Die     "Guitar Star"     7"    (Your Permanent)    $4.00
Amazing seedy dirty lo fi punk rock from this new band outta New York City.  If you dig early GG ish scumfuck rock n roll, you’ll dig these guys.  All 3 songs on this single completely smoke and none of them appear on their debut LP - only here exclusively on this ep.

The Lost Patrol Band     "s/t"     LP    (Wasted Sounds)    $10.00    Swedish Import
Here is the latest project of Dennis Lyxen who, for most of the 1990s, fronted the great Refused and then later returned with The (International) Noise Conspiracy.  The Lost Patrol Bands music is influenced by Buzzcocks, Elvis Costello and The Ramones. Three chord punk rock with songs about love, hate and despair.  The band also includes ex members of Randy, DS13, Tristess, Vicious, Dead Ones and Perishers.

    Monitors     "s/t"     7"    (Fungus Boy)    $4.00
The Monitors are Ryan & Mechadrum (ex-Kill-A-Watts) & Wendy (ex-Jane Doe & The Cop Haters, & Kryptonite Records). This single is limited to 500 copies. Four amazing songs by these future punx from Wisconsin. Fans of the Kill-A-Watts won't be disappointed, but don't expect a repeat, the Monitors are here and now with a different sound. Imagine Mad Max meets the Screamers as this punk battle rages on minus a guitar, this trio will blow out your speakers with only drums, bass, and an old wurlitzer piano. Expect to hear a lot more from these guys, they already have two more singles coming out on others labels. Great debut!!

Murder Suicide Pact     "s/t"     CD    (Burrito)    $11.00
Early 80's style hardcore featuring members of Failure Face, Slap Of Reality, E.B.S. and End Of The Century Party. Cover art by Mad Marc Rude. 16 songs.

Observers     "So What's Left Now"     LP    (Yellow Dog)    $10.00    German Import
"To say that I believe that this is one of the best punk records ever to be recorded is not over stepping the mark. Any band that can inject the sharp poke-in-the-eye brashness of WIRE, the driving melody-with-a-twist of THE ADVERTS, the heavy atmosphere of THE FITS, (to lesser extent) THE FALSE PROPHETS, and even some of the brooding twang of THE WIPERS, while still sounding original deserves every friggen accolade you can throw at them. If you went completely gaga over NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, then this will tickle you absolutely silly. Album of the year. Unless a certain band from Denmark make the deadline, I can't see anything knocking this off. I send my love to Portland for yet another punk rock treasure." Maximumrocknroll #258

Regulations     "Electric Guitar"     CD/LP        (Havoc)    $11.00
Seven new studio tracks on the A side continueing in the proven Regulations style of going back to the roots of hardcore punk, circa 1980.  Catchy, snotty, raw, hardcore punk that would fit right in on Dangerhouse records or the Boston Not L.A. compilation. B side features both 7's (now out of print) as bonus tracks!

Rocket     "Girls With Candy Hearts"     CDEP    (Teenacide)    $6.00
Southern California’s reigning princesses of summertime party brattiness return with Girls With Candy Hearts, a brand new E.P. featuring seven more slices of deliciously bright ‘n’ tight tunes guaranteed to jam the jukebox. Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Nick Gilder, and punk screen sirens The Fabulous Stains are all covered here and given the royal Rocket treatment: All fuzz ‘n’ buzz and junk shop pop production.  The all-girl band mixes 60's girl group innocence with ‘70s decibel-damaging boulevard beat and ‘80s glam wham swagger, a volatile combination.

Shark Soup    "Fatlip Showbox"    CD    (BYO)    $12.00
The debut full-length from Shark Soup, out of Erlangan, Germany combines Clash-esque punk rock with the neo-rockabilly sound that comes complete with standup bass.  A relentless attack of soul burning swill that follows up their self-titled 7-track mini-album that came out on Knockout Records.

Shop Fronts     "So Sick"     7"    (Noma Beach/Red Devil)    $4.00
Here are three more great tunes from the Shop Fronts out of Brooklyn NY.  Killer straight on punk rock that fans of Rip Off Records style bands will drool over.  Band members include ex Zodiac Killers, ex F-Hole, ex Primate 5, and ex Tie Reds.  You'd do yourself well to check out their other ep's as well on Rapid Pulse and Your Permanent Records.

Street Brats     "See You At The Bottom"     CD    (Full Breach Kicks)    $11.00
“Three words come to mind when describing Chicago’s own STREET BRATS new album: explosive, Explosive, EXPLOSIVE!!! This is the album the punk rock world needs to hear, the album that defies any punk rock genre, the album that makes you want to sing and dance in front of the mirror to. This is the album you get ready for your big date to, the album that should be the soundtrack to the movie you take your date too, and the album you take your date home and fuck to. Are we getting the point across yet? Reviewers couldn’t put the STREET BRATS last 7” into any specific punk category, and damn did they try, and damn will they have a harder time with this one. SLAUGHTER AND THE DOGS, THE BOYS, SOCIAL DISTORTION, STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, whatever! Power pop, pop punk, glam, street punk -- we’ll just say punk rock!” - Angry Young And Poor

Tractor Sex Fatality     "Live It Down"     7"    (Big Neck)    $4.00
TSF's sound mashes equal parts early 80's hardcore, NY noise, and damaged garage rock with a heavy dose of aural terrorism. Gorilla-style drumming, lead guitars from space, bass played like lead guitars and a jackass with a megaphone and a David Yow complex. Beginning as a birthday party fuck-off, Tractor Sex Fatality has worked its way into being the premiere shit-stain on the Seattle music scene. Fed up with the pop punky styling and sensitive indie rock around town, front man Rob Fletcher set out to start a band of ferocious intensity, hell bent on damaging the ears and destroying the minds and morals of anyone willing to watch. Over the top, full blown madness.

BRIEFS "Steal Yer Heart"  LP    (BYO)    $9.00

LP now available!  Fourth full length album from Seattle pogo punks. Included on the new album is the Briefs' newest addition, bass player Steve Kicks (formerly of Canadian punk outfit, New Town Animals). 12 tracks of pure punk rock pandemonium.  CD also still available.

COMPLETE CONTROL  "Reaction"    CD/LP    (TKO Records)    $11.00/$9.00

"Reaction" is 11 songs of high-energy dynamite that blends the barking bare-knuckled punch of UK82 Punk with the adrenalized, robotic energy of New Wave. You won’t know whether to down a pint and smash the glass over your neighbor’s head or pogo madly in place like a spastic geek.

DAMAGED GOODS   "Outta Here"   7"   (Hostage)    $4.00

You heard them blow you away on the Collateral Damage comp LP... now they return with one amazing debut single...includes the ultra-smash Outta Here on the a-side and a back beat that won't quit....as close to a lost band from the Beach Blvd. comp as you can get.  Hostage Records is an Orange County only label, they only leave the county for good reason.  Their only prior non-OC 7 inch was the BODIES, this is the second....do the math.

    D-CUP   "Shark Attack"    7"   (Hostage)    $4.00

Real beach punk by punks that surf 365...accept no substitutes!!!.  OC's most important 3-pieced punk outfit in years gives you 2 exclusive salt drenched punk blasts. If you wanna play trio punk, you gotta have the goods and this epic wax slab proves our point. The underground runs and surfs with the Cup...heres to a salt punch in the mouth.

DEAN DIRG "s/t" LP (Pandoras Box)    $10.00    German Import
Incredibly hard to find 2002 debut LP from Dean Dirg.  Their distinct mix of mid 80's punk/hardcore ala Black Flag, Faith, Void and LARM sprinked with some of the more amped up aspects of newer rockers like the Hives, Henry Fiats Open Sore and the Reatards set them apart from being just another punk, hardcore or garage band because of their appealing genre mixing. 12 great tracks. LIMITED COPIES AVAILABLE!!!

DEAN DIRG "Last Kid On The Block" LP  (Stereo Drive)    $10.00    German Import
"You've heard all the HFOS comparisons, and they're true, except DD wear their hardcore influence a bit more prominently on their sleeve. Their sense of humor is almost as good as Fiats, as evidenced on numbers like "$8.95", a paen to shoplifting ("8.95-I won't pay!"), "No Life Crew", and "Nailed to the Couch". They do the shout-and-response chorus stuff, and don't slow down once. Thirteen tracks in around fifteen minutes, just like it should be.  If you like Fiats, you'll like this". - (Rich Kroneiss)
DEAD KENNEDYS "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" CD+DVD (Manifesto)    $15.00
The classic first CD with a 2nd bonus disc - a special DVD featuring a brief history of the Dead Kennedys’ early years up to their first UK tour, never before seen live performances, interviews with band members, comments by music journalists, and insights from the key people involved with the recording of the DK's first album. The DVD is 55 minutes long, and there is footage of six full-length songs from 1978 and 1979.  Terrific.

    DRIPS  "Mexico"   7"  (Hostage)    $4.00

The enigma, the legend, the hype....all things good. The Drips is/were/are/was the epoch of the punk inferno that was the Liquid Den/HB local scene. After a heroic stint as the Den's Monday night house band, the Drips effectivly layed claim to the blistering band of the moment. Like musical hitmen, the Drips executed the punk rock assasination to perfection...plug in, turn on, explode. Their legeacy to date is exactly 5 songs, 2 snapshots of their yet/ever to be determined greatness captured here....maximum rock and roll called this the best Hostage single ever...listen well.

    ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN/ANTISEEN   "split"   7"   (TKO Records)    $4.00

FLAMIN' GROOVIES "Slow Death" CD (Norton Records)    $12.00
Amazin' high energy rock n' roll 1971-73 never came this wet 'n' wild! Groovies fans take the reigns and the rest of you rock n' rollers climb aboard for the ultimate blow out posh package that serves up the sensational story of the quintessential American rock n'roll band via the Flamin' Groovies teenage guitar head himself, Mr. Cyril Jordan, in this gargantuphonic loud sound package of all the Groovies self-produced monsters 1971-73 that took them out of post-TEENAGE HEAD doldrums headlong into a collision course with destiny! THE GOLDEN BOYS   "Scorpion Stomp #2"  LP  (Perpetrator)   $10.00    New Zealand Import

Debut full-length from new Texas trio anchored by the mighty "noisy rocking guy" James Arthur on guitar, a man undaunted by multiple broken bands and short careers -- he picks up the shattered pieces and applies his purring, unharnessed feedback machine to the next hot garage act.

    HAVE-NOTS    "s/t"    7"     (Hostage)    $4.00

The Have Nots have layed down a scorching retro-relapse to the sounds of the summer of '82 .  Hardcore with melody was the method and MIA, TSOL, SHATTERED FAITH and DECRY were the madness....the Have Nots take this long lost art/sound and ignite the fire again.

HEAVY TRASH     "s/t"     LP     (Yep Roc)    $9.00

JON SPENCER and MATT VERTA-RAY are HEAVY TRASH. THERE IS A SECRET PLACE where even the best-intentioned rockabilly explorations are scarred by dirty guitars, bad dreams, and lust gone wrong...Where murder ballads rub up against filthy R&B and frantic rock'n'roll...Where country ruminations drip with echo and sadness... This is where SPENCER and VERTA-RAY fermented their very souls and gave birth to HEAVY TRASH, the perfect soundtrack for boozy all-night throw downs, pettin' parties and psychedelic fright shows. Mr. Spencer, of course, is the Shudder and Shake behind the BLUES EXPLOSION Mr. Verta-Ray chopped heads with SPEEDBALL BABY and with six razor-sharp strings he carved these songs from Raw Tombstone and committed them to tape in his basement studio in New York's Lower East Side. The result is HEAVY TRASH. You cannot lose.

HORROR 59  "Screams From The Cellar"  CD    (Sonic Swirl)    $11.00
The debut release from Horror of 59 is straight ahead American punk rock with a horror theme. The band's sound creeps around Misfits and craws onto The Ramones. Horror of 59 draws from the whole history of 70's and 80's punk, 60's garage rock, 50's rock 'n' roll, and even a little bit of metal. Lyrically, the band is inspired not just by horror films, but by real life horrors and local ghost stories and legends from their northeast Ohio stomping grounds. These thirteen tracks will shake & rattle your bones! A sure must for fans of horror rock and classic punk rock...
JOHN SCHOOLEY AND HIS ONE MAN BAND "s/t" CD/LP (Voodoo Rhythm)    $12.00/$10.00    Swedish Import

JOHN SCHOOLEY from Austin Texas, the driving force behind the Hard Feelings (Sympathy, Dropkick) and the legendary Revelators (Crypt) comes around with his ONE MAN BAND !!! He is the blues trash man of the new century, plays all instruments the same time, Kick Snare, Hi Hat, Juce Harp, Guitar, and vocals. Inspired by old Blues music such as Elmore James or Robert Johnson, Schooley uses all the new parts of blues and minimal Blues Trash as well in his songs. It’s a frenetic wild mix of music from Hasil Adkins over the White Stripes to Joe Hill Louis over the the Oblivians.

KING LOUIE ONE MAN BAND "Chinese Crawfish" CD/LP (Goner Records)    $12.00/$10.00

The second full-length release from New Orleans legend KING LOUIE BANKSTON (ROYAL PENDLETONS, PERSUADERS, KAJUN SS, EXPLODING HEARTS, BAD TIMES). Chinese Crawfish has heartfelt songs about being thirteen and ugly, frantic rockers, delicate fingerpicking, two pleas for religious salvation, and the pro-Louisiana crawfish farmer title track. A sixteen-track blend of rock, country, and punk action.

LAST TARGET "One Shot, One Kill" CD (BYO Records)    $12.00
Debut album featuring Ryoko from Thug Murder. Venemous punk from Japan.

MONDO GUANO   "Return to the Fatherland"  7" (Westworld)    $4.00

Twisted blues/punk with infamous world-traveler Bob Log III on guitar!

    THE PEGS    "s/t"    7"   (Hostage)    $4.00

After a no less than 100%, one take jaw-dropping debut on Tower 13, the Pegs return with their stellar debut 7 inch.  Although former Numbers henchmen make up half the band, this ain't no retread.  Instead, this wax blast is more a rebirth and a throwback to a black album TSOL sound...check out the B-side, pure Ladoga.

PHANTOM ROCKERS "On the Loose" CD (Split 7)    $11.00

The Phantom Rockers have been around for over 10 years and have numerous well received CDs and records out. They are considered along wirth the Meteors to have defined the English Psychobilly Sound.  Here's they're new - one sure not to disappoint.

RAT TRAPS "s/t"  7" (Your Permanent Records)    $4.00

"The vinyl debut from our pal Jeff Novak, plus sister April and brother-in-law Joe. A real family affair, these Rat Traps. Well, if you heard the tour cd-r they had, you know the A-Side, and it's a doozy. Sort of like Persuders meet the Spits or some such nonsensical comparison. Good shit. The B-Side is two unheard numbers, and both are pretty deadly. "People Die Everyday" is in the same vein as the A-Side, with Joe on vox. But "Gimme Scanners" is the clean cut winner here, led with Jeff's raspy vocals, it's complete KBD destruction channeled thru Memphis. Get this now, these kids are hot! "

    REGULATIONS "s/t"   CD/LP   (Havoc Records)    $11.00/$9.00

After the break up of Epileptic Terror Attack these punks decided to go back to the roots and start a new band with more of an emphasis on roots hardcore punk sounds. Looking to the early LA scene for inspiration, Regulations have the raw energy of hardcore with the catchy and memorable songwriting of early punk. Their two 7"s have become cult classics with collectors. This LP delivers a non stop barrage of sing-a-long, fist pumping early 80's style punk rippers. Mixes the best elements of Copenhagen bands like Amdi Petersen's Arme, Young Wasteners and No Hope for the Kids with the Umea sounds of DS 13 and ETA. A perfect hc/punk record start to finish. RECOMENDED!!!

    SLOPPY SECONDS  "I Don't Wanna Be a Homosexual"  7"  (Toxic Shock)    $4.00

Classic re-release of this ep - now on pink vinyl!! Songs are "I Don't Wanna Be A Homosexual" from the DESTROYED LP and "Human Waste" a non LP track.

SPACE COWBOYS  "Dead End Streets & Devil's Night"  CD   (Sonic Swirl)    $11.00

The Space Cowboys may be the latest and possibly the greatest band to blast their way out of Gothenburg Sweden... "Dead End Streets & Devil's Night" has thirteen tracks of raw, fuel-injected, high-energy punk rock n' roll. The album is filled with 70's style guitar leads & solos added with an in-your-face punk rock attitude. It rocks hard...in the vein early Hellacopters and New Bomb Turks.  Well received previous EP releases on Safety Pin, Pitshark, and Glazed Records.
THE TEMPLARS   "Clockwork Orange Horror Show"   CDEP / 10"   (Templecombe Records)    $9.00/$9.00

Originally released in 1995 as a double 7", Clockwork Orange Horrorshow ranks among some of the TEMPLARS' most sought-after material. For this reissue, the original EP has been remastered with an added bonus track, and repackaged as a CDEP - or for vinyl lovers - a 10" record with a limited edition pressing of 1000.

THEE INDIGENTS    "Brain Dead World"    7"   (Hostage)    $4.00

The kingpins of the NO BEACH INVASION movement lay down their epic 7 inch debut on Hostage....Beauty they say, is in the eye of the beholder and here my friends is your wax proof of such postulation. Thee Indigents are masters of just being themselves, and in this day of gloss punk and polish, that's damn refreshing. Straight forward garage punk done like Berry playing Pistols, all the rough edges, all the scars and all the damage is layed out for you on 7 inches of wax....alarming, disarming, thoroughly unique and refreshing...this is a must own single.

THROBBIN URGES/GLORIFIED TRASH     "split"   7"  (Emaciated Records)    $4.00

The Throbbin Urges vinyl debut finally sees the light of day. 3 killer tunes that capture a completely blown-fi, Pagans infected, treble fest. On the flip you get Glorified Trash fronted by internet punk liminary Matt Coppens. This split also marks the vinyl debut for GT. They check in with 3 tunes of hard hitting garage punk. Sounding even more lo-fi than the Urges, their riffs and tempo are nothing you haven’t heard before. But they certainly give it their all in the energy department. The Glorified Trash tunes were recorded in Manitowoc, WI w/ Brad X and Roy Oden of Last Sons of Krypton fame. Great single packaged in a buget xerxox sleeve and released on the elusive Emaciated label.

TOXIC NARCOTIC  "Live in Boston"  DVD (Rodent Popsicle)    $12.00

Boston’s longest standing DIY Hardcore Punk band filmed live at their 15th Anniversary show on Dec 18th 2004! The DVD includes 22 songs from the show professionally filmed, recorded and mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound. Unlike their previous DVD this one has five camera angles and the audio was multi tracked with a mobile recording truck. This is a 100% DIY DVD produced and released by the band on their own label but looks and sounds totally professional like any major label live video!  The film crew got tons of audience participation on film and if you were at the show you might see yourself in the final edit.

UNKNOWN INSTRUCTORS "The Way Things Work"   CD     (Smog Veil)    $11.00

THE UNKNOWN INSTRUCTORS are JOE BAIZA (SACCHARINE TRUST, UNIVERSAL CONGRESS OF) on guitar, GEORGE HURLEY and MIKE WATT (MINUTEMEN, fIREHOSE) on drums and bass, and DAN McGUIRE on vocals. Saccharine Trust frontman JACK BREWER also makes a rousing appearance. The Way Things Work, their Smog Veil debut, features fifteen tracks of improvisational rock rooted in the space-is-the-place gospel according to Sun Ra, but its branches extend far enough to brush up against the edges of MC5-styled free-rock, Hendrix-esque melodic unraveling and set pieces that merge the lit-noir duskiness of Jim Thompson with the from-the-gutter reportage of Charles Baudelaire. A sense of bleakness and beauty entwined permeates McGuire's tales of drunkenness and cruelty, his travelogues from the darkest corners of the psyche-all of which are buttressed by a passel of head-swiveling musical ideas. Really cool release.

VARUKERS  "Hellbound"  CDEP  (Varuker Records)    $9.00

Six new tracks from the VARUKERS recorded in spring of 2005, but sounding just the same as they did back in 1985! For lovers of classic DISCHARGE-style UK punk rock! Hard to find disc if yer a fan of the band, as they self released this bad boy themselves!!!

VARIOUS ARTISTS   "Collateral Damage"    LP    (Hostage)    $9.00
Unlike the starstruck Tower 13, Collateral Damage brings you the BEST of the next wave to storm the local scene...think of it as Rodney on the ROQ volume 3, tons of hits, great recordings and bands that make their debut here (13 of them!!!!)...Hostage records spent the entire winter of 2003 on a mission to find So-Cals 16 best unsung heroes....after over 60 band submissions we proudly bring them to you here...even better, 14 of these smashes were recorded at Adamos, so you know they smoke....8 page booklet with liners and photos of all the bands....plus colored vinyl!!

The debut full-length from New Mexico psychobilly band - the 12 STEP REBELS - available here for the first time. Twelve tracks of wild, energetic, thumping, b-movie, grave robbing ghoulishness.
ANTISEEN "Here To Ruin Your Groove" CD    (Rebel Rec)  German Import  $12.00
This is the German Import version of this 1996 CD which was also re-released on TKO records in the states. Confederacy of Scum approved.
BACKBITER "Time Again/Magnet Heart Suite"   2xCD    (Blue Mask)    $12.00
The first recorded appearance for Backbiter since their 2001 Mans Ruin split release with Sweden's Elope.  They've made up for lost time with a double CD worth of material here!  Backbiter is Heath Seifert, Jonathan Hall, and Bob Lee.  Heath and John were both in the Angry Samoans until just recently. Bob Lee is widely recognized as one of the great L.A. drummers and was in such noteworthy bands as Claw Hammer, The Rotters, and Fearless Leader. Comparisons to the Who sometimes pop up with these guys but for the most part they play a straight-up rock n roll style mixed with a bit of psychedelia that sometimes reaches into the stoner rock arena.  They recently won an LA Weely Music Award as Best Hard Rock/Metal Band - beating out Queen's of the Stoneage, Orgy, and Fear Factory.

BAD SAMARITANS  "Dead From Dying"    CD    (Burning Tree)     $11.00
Their 2nd Full Length CD on Burning Tree Records. This infamous Southern Californian band play fast hardcore punk Known for having a shit-hot drummer, sore-throat vocals and good live performances.
THE BRIEFS  "Steal Yer Heart"  CD    (BYO)    $12.00
Fourth full length album from Seattle pogo punks. Included on the new album is the Briefs' newest addition, bass player Steve Kicks (formerly of Canadian punk outfit, New Town Animals). 12 tracks of pure punk rock pandemonium.
    BUTTERCUPS/CRETEENS  "split"  7"    (Florida's Dying)    $4.00
The Buttercups are a two piece from Orlando but could easily fit in with some of the contemporary Chicago bands like the Functional Blackouts and the Krunchies. Loud and distorted wall of guitars punk. The Creteens are French, and Eric Oblivian said they reminded him of Guitar Wolf, and Jay Reatard blew their guitar amp when he got up to sing Heart Of Chrome with them. How much more of an endorsement do you need.
CATTLE DECAPITATION "Ten Torments Of The Damned"  7"  (Accident Prone)   $5.00

COSMIC VOODOO  "Vertigo"  CD  (Kaiser)    $11.00

Eight years after their demise, Cosmic Voodoo's recordings will finally be released, and it's about damn time! Cosmic Voodoo first appeared in 1992 and burst onto the practically non-existent California Psychobilly scene with a bang, playing with the likes of the Krewmen and the Meteors and doing weekly stints at the legendary Doll Hut in Southern California. Cosmic Voodoo had a power and a fury that was simply unmatched, and this CD is a testament to that. 15 tracks from 1993-1997 (11 previously unreleased) that sound so fresh they could have been recorded yesterday.  This band features the lightning fast Jeff Roffredo on upright bass who went on to form the incredible Calavera, and is currently playing with both the REZEREX and TIGER ARMY.

These two mates from Down Under really know how to shake it and deliver three breath- taking stompers that keep you in a headlock and snap yer neck. The howling ''Card shark'' breaks down in the middle and jerks the tears out of everybody. ''Sergi'' is a hard-hitting party-whipper and the darker ''Thanks'' is the perfect soundtrack for a revenge motivated killing spree. Damn, this guy is one hell of a good singer and knows how to scratch his guitar while the brilliant drummer keeps these epic tunes together. The music is raw, but often their sheer enthusiasm makes it seem larger than the one guitar, two drums and a cymbal they are equipped with. Their pure, unrefined energy takes their sound, rolls it around in its mouth for a while and then spits it into your face. And you love it. Limited to 400 copies.

With distortion a go-go on both guitar and vocals they first deliver the faster tracks: ''Parts And Pieces'' and ''School Jerks'', the latter originally written by THE VAINS. The CD takes the listener to many different dynamic trips along the way. The band has female vocals and feature members of Backbiter, Legal Weapon, and Sativa Luv Box. All 14 songs were recorded in one day and much of the CD was first takes. Mistakes were left in, unexpected feedback and noise were relished. The CD was recorded at the furious pace to capture the frenetic energy of their live show. The goal was to sound like a loud Rock and Roll band had just plugged in their instruments and played their hearts out (which is actually what happened).

REAL LOSERS  "Music For Funsters"  LP    (Alien Snatch)   German Import    $10.00

The sophomore album from British trash-rockers. A combination of drunken fuzzed-out garage rock and snotty punk. CD available on Trck Knee Records. "Oh, best record I’ve heard in a while. Great follow up and maybe an even better record than their debut! Not as much Teengenerate-souding but yet with that primitive, patented Real Losers sound. A tiny bit more fidelity and some great songwriting makes this one helluva record and definitely takes the prize for best record of the summer. I’m sure this will be on my top ten at the years end." -Savage Magazine

REIGNING SOUND  "Live At Maxwells"  LP    (Spoonfull)    $10.00
Singer/songwriter Greg Cartwright, has always been known for his dynamic live shows from The Compulsive Gamblers and The Oblivians to this the first live LP by Reigning Sound.  Cartwright and company dig deep bringing a charismatic energy and honesty to the stage that's been lost for decades.  Awesome.
RIVER CITY TAN LINES  "Gimme Whatever"  7"     (Goodbye Boozy)   Italian Import    $5.00
RARE REPRESS HAND NUMBERED EDITION OF (a ridiculously low) 200 COPIES!!!  RCT features Alicija from Lost Sounds and this is right up there with some of her best work. "Gimmie Whatever" is a desperately catchy tune about an eternal rock n roll problem: a lack of action and the quest thereof. This tune is easily the River City Tanlines finest moment to date
THE ROTTEN FRUITS  "Abomination"  7"  (Criminal IQ Records)    $4.00
"Abomination is what one might call a 'novelty' record. The Rotten Fruits are proud to call themselves 'the gayest band in Chicago', and here they celebrate their gayness with good humor and cartoony obnoxiousness. Musically, their style of choice is crude, three-chord punk steeped in the 'So what if we can't really play?' ethic. Germ's spazzy, grating vocals are not easy on the ears, but they do have a pronounced comic effect. They strike me as a winking goof on seminal Brit-punk snarlers like John Lydon (hence the band name?). "The Rotten Fruits Theme" reminds me a little of mid-'90s Pistols revivalists the Spent Idols, while "Backroom Love" sounds uncannily like Fear (unintentionally, I presume). I like the way these folks have fun with this record. Rather than taking themselves seriously or resorting to preachy politicking, they insert tongue in cheek and jubilantly skewer the homophobia of the religious right.” -Josh Rutledge.
PRESSED ON 4 DIFFERENT COLORS VINYL: GREEN, PURLPLE, GOLD AND PINK . Limited copies of each available!!

SINGING DOGS  "Hell Blues"   7"    (P Trash)

SONS OF CYRUS "Rock & Rollercoaster" CD/LP  (Big Brothel Chaos)    $12.00/$10.00
This is the Sons of Cyrus' 2nd full length - available for the first time in our catalogA mix of Radio Birdman, MC5 and early Flamin' Groovies with a strong 60s garage influence.  The song "Begging Me For More" is sung by Alicja Trout (Lost Sounds, River City Tanlines, Clears, Mouserocket etc.) and she adds a nice feminine touch to an already great rock record.
SOUR JAZZ  "Rock and Roll Ligger" CD    (Acetate)    $11.00
"Ligger" is the third release from these sons of NYC. The first two came out on vnyl in Europe, then  Munster compiled them on a CD release. "Ligger" picks up where they left off, a swank collection of twelve songs that will rattle the ashtray of your speakers. From the ashes of The Cheetah Chrome Band, Motorcycle Boy, PillBox, Kevin K Band and Marky Ramone's Intruders.. Four guys who dress  to the left and suavely rock out. Mr.RatBoy on Guitar, Lou Paris sings, Cowboy Mark plays bass nd Splat Action is the Drummer.

A primarily NYC scene documentation comp. that shows there’s more to the scene than many of us outside of the area know about. Some bigger names and a few newer bands (the Swagerts, Electric Shadown) checkin in with some of the strongest material on the comp. This dics features brand new tracks from the Mighty Little Killers, the Fabulous Andy G and the Roller Kings, The Plungers, Some Action, The Sleazies, The Shemps, The Swaggerts, Electric Shadows, Shop Fronts, The Yams, DC Snipers, The Stags, World War IX, The Disruptors, Weekenders, and Mob Stereo!  Nice collection.
Various Artists   "Vancouver 4 Way Vol. 1"   7"    (La Ti Da)   Canadian Import    $4.00
La Ti Da records has just released a 7" with four Vancouver bands, including Vancougar, Ladies Night, Raised By Wolves and The Beladeans! And what a cool lil disc it is. First of all it’s the first release on this new upstart label documenting the Vancouver rock scene. Ladies Night strut and swagger with an impecable Obvlivans meets Cheater Slicks sneer and are totally great. The weird double layered oscilating vocal effect on their tune is pretty sweet. Watch for these guys in the future! On top of that you got Beladean playin their sax fused rock n roll, Raised by Wolves doin their low down n dirty trash thrash barrrage and finally the ladies check in via Vancougar and slow things down a bit with their bitter sweet poppy gem. Packaging is pretty cool with a full color cover including an extended fold over front sleeve.
WINKS  "Too Hot To Be This Cool"  LP    (Rockin Bones)    Italian Import   $10.00
Imagine Tura Satana from Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! starting a punk band after too many tallboys and you'll understand the eternal bad girl camp at the heart of this local endeavor. The women of the Winks cultivate a saucy, swaggering dynamic that keeps their otherwise straightforward approach to punk rock ticking. There's no wheel reinvention here, just a 20-minute nonstop burst of come-ons and put-downs. They brings to mind the trashpunk of the BobbyTeens and early Donnas mixed with the wild rawness of the VKTMS and Deadly Weapons.
    The Worst "s/t" 7"  (Big Neck)    $4.00
Wild, chaotic, and tons of energy.  Really cool release from maniacal Chicago punk rockers.

The Briefs simply churn out a succession of two-to-three-minute gems, one after another, on and on until the 20 songs are finished and the new-found fan of the band is perfectly satisfied. Whipped Creamed punk rock sundae, please? crashes though a sound that takes The Damned, Spiral Scratch-era Buzzcocks and the better parts of about a zillion other `77-era punk acts of little importance and whips them into shape for the new millennium. The sort of band that every good punker will secretly wish he were in, The Briefs take the buzzing guitars and remind us why punk rock got huge in the first place: If done right, it`s a hell of a lot of fun to be ticked off...done in spades!

DEAN DIRG "26 Kicks To Make The Whole World Pay" CD    (Deadbeat)    $11.00
DEAN DIRG are one of the best new bands to come out of Germany in the past few years. Their distinct mix of mid 80's punk/hardcore ala Black Flag, Faith, Void and LARM sprinked with some of the more amped-up aspects of newer bands like the Hives, Henry Fiats Open Sore and the Reatards set them apart from being just another punk, hardcore or garage band because of their appealing genre mixing.
"26 Kicks..." combines the 12 songs from their long OUT OF PRINT self titled debut LP and the 14 trax from their second album called Last Kid On The Block.  Both of these albums are absolutely solid from start to finish and demonstrate DEAN DIRG's signature short fast bursts of jagged, disconnected rock n roll.

Their main influence is the pure beat mayhem of bands like the PRETTY THINGS, DOWNLINER SECT, Q 65 and the MISSING LINKS and you can easily compare them to all those great eighties garage combos like the CRAWDADDYS, TELL TALE HEARTS and WYLDE MAMMOTHS. With the LP now sold out this is the first time this has been available on CD. Includes their first 3 now out of print 7" EPs as bonus tracks!!  Be sure not to miss this record. It's a real blast.

SMASH UP DERBY "S/T" LP (Screaming Apple)    German Import    $10.00
Screaming Apple's hardest rocking band.  Smash Up Derby's rip-roaring panic punk and roll calls to mind the DEVIL DOGS or the SPACESHITS.  Distotred vocals and aggressive, straight in your face guitar action are their trademark of quality. 12 tracks of explosive hotrod´n´roll are delivered here.
    SUPERKOOLS   "s/t"   7"    (Big Dog)    $4.00
A box of these long unavailable 7"s were recently found and dropped off here at Disgruntled headquarters.  A cool rare little seven inch here and pressed on clear green vinyl with cover art from Alan Forbes!!  The Superkools hailed from Los Angeles and contained Judy Toy of the fabulous Creamers plus Janet of legendary Redd Kross/Love Dolls (and more recently The Shakes) fame.  Four songs of noisey 60's-influenced garage punk including the fave "I'm Gonna Miss You Someday".
TRISTESS  "Vad Ska Vi Bli"  CD  (Cage Match Federation)    Swedish Import    $12.00

Sweden's Vicious contains ex-members of the Regulations, DS13 and The International Noise Consperacy.  They combine late 70's/early 80's American punk rock influences with the classic Swedish punk sound. If you like Knugen Faller this is definately up yer alley.
W.I.N.K.S. “Too hot to be this cool”   LP   (Rockin' Bones)  $11.00
Imagine Tura Satana from Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! starting a punk band after too many tallboys and you'll understand the eternal bad girl camp at the heart of this local endeavor. The women of the Winks cultivate a saucy, swaggering dynamic that keeps their otherwise straightforward approach to punk rock ticking. There's no wheel reinvention here, just a 20-minute nonstop burst of come-ons and put-downs. They brings to mind the trashpunk of the BobbyTeens and early Donnas mixed with the wild raw of the VKTMS and Deadly Weapons.
