Formed in 2005, Disguises are a D.I.Y. post noise/punk/industrial/free explosion of sound hailing from Toronto, Ontario. Armed with their array of homemade and modified rock instruments, samplers, vintage drum machines & fx, Disguises set out to create intensely innovative and excruciatingly exciting new music. With the addition of Randy Gagne on the skins in early '07, the definitive 4-piece line-up of Disguises is a force to be reckoned with.
Disguises shows have become known for bringing the searing punk freak-outs, sludgy industrial throbs and longer "zone-out" jams, and always abiding by the three C's of rock: Challange, Confrontation, and Chaos. Disguises bear influences such as Throbbing Gristle, Sonic Youth, Hijokaidan, and Dr. Who to create the perfect soundtrack for a Nihilist living in this wierd and paranoid new millennium.
Disguises have just wrapped up recording thier debut LP with Dale Morningstar (Dinner is Ruined, G.S.Y.B.E.) at the infamous Gas Station recording studio. Having received nods of approval from the likes of the Nihilist Spasm Band and Alexander Hacke of Einsturzende Neubauten, and after sharing stages with the likes of Dreamcatcher, Yellow Swans, Mouthus, Gang Gang Dance, Magik Makers, Graveyards and No-Neck Blues Band, Disguises are getting ready to hit the road and D-STROY a stage near you.

Sorry for the late reply Kevin. We enjoyed the show two weeks ago, sorry we left early (my earplugs kept slipping out!). Try not to smash too many guitars! It can become an expensive habit! Hope you enjoy the Kave Kooks CDs.
