"A fantastically eerie soundtrack for some sort of an electronic wasteland...makes you feel like you stumbled on a drunken poetry reading in the post-apocalypse." Tim O'Keefe, Brown Student Radio (Rhode Island)
"Mercilessly dark vocals, thrust from the bowels of the earth, immediately confront you and take you to the darker side. This is music at its harshest." Tony Bates, Highlands 100.7FM (Australia)
"Their sound is the sound of alienation. Or, at least, outsiderdom. It's dark and machinistic and it reeks of fear and disaffection and frustration. Of dirt. Of grime. Of rot and decay. Of things that need DisinVecting...black like a powercut, through circumstance not calculation" (Jimmy Possession, robots+electronic brains)
"...sounds like a city eating itself in slow motion while a thousand trains go rusty at double speed." (Vincent Drummond)
"...harsh, atmospheric compositions...an almost excruciating heaviness...a delivery that's screaming epic, all the while retaining a bleak grittiness that marks a real soundtrack for a coming wasteland" (George Mouratidis, Connexion Bizarre)
"sinister electronics, heavy breaks and spoken word processed vocals. Dark stuff with powerful lyrics and an almost apocalyptic feel. Some where between abstract hip-hop and abstract electronica." (Ant, Norman's Records)
~This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again.~ ~The encounter will culminate on August 27th 2009 when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification~ ~Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. ~Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August 2009 it will rise in the east at 10 PM and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m.~ ~By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.~

Hi DisinVectant, thanks for continuing to be a friend of Electroflex.
Some important news!
Electroflex have been back in the studio following a break from gigging and recording with new track ‘Computer Virus’.
This is the first of a series of new releases for 2009, and what better day to start on than Liz’s Birthday!
‘Computer Virus’ is a live favourite. Anyone forced to work with computers will know how evil they are and this track is Electroflex’s response to Kraftwerk’s ‘Its More Fun to Compute’. It is a bouncy number with a serious bassline, sing-along chorus and a selection of curious samples.
The track will only be up on Myspace in full for a short time. Alternatively, visit our Facebook and iLike pages where you can add the song to you playlists
Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...
This Sunday We're Playing as a part of the Next Step event raising money for Cancer Research. It all takes place at Revolution, Broad Street, Birmingham and doors open at 5pm.
Hey mate! I wanted to let you know about the new experimental hip-hop/electronic EP i just dropped on Lab Beat!
HipGnosis's first release on Lab Beat, a label out of Cambridge UK specializing in "deservedly fashionable, relentlessly sideways electronic music, also known as glitch hop, IDM and jungle."
The album is titled Scientific Illuminism (Is For Sissies), and is available as an exclusive Juno Download until May 8.
From the Lab Beat page:
With his deliciously clinical, woozy, bassy instrumental "Scientific Illuminism (Is For Sissies)," HipGnosis embarks in a different direction, more usually working with some remarkable vocalists, to fit their visions together.
With this outing, HipGnosis stretches into new territory, incorporating elements of glitch, drum n bass, ambient, and ever more experimental sounds. It is a continuous-mix, nonstop head-nodding, mind-blowing journey from beginning to end. Get it now exclusively through Juno Downloads. The album will be hitting iTunes and other major digital distribution points on May 8. Thanks for your support!
Seeing as the suckers at myspace have disabled the download feature with little or no explantion we have decided to send/fwd you , the ever faithful this -
