Il nucleo nasce nel febbraio del 2005, quando Pierluigi decide di formare un gruppo contattatando due chitarristi conosciuti in altre circostanze, tra i
quali Davide. Per il resto dei componenti l’arzillo bassista intasa Internet e sommerge di volantini Bologna. L’idea è di fare un gruppo metal con
orientamento Thrash. Dopo pochissime prove il batterista diventa oggetto misterioso, addirittura mitologico. Ben presto si hanno, infatti, i soliti problemi:
alla penuria di batteristi di valore tecnico si aggiunge la penuria di gente seria, che abbia voglia, diciamo, di investire il proprio tempo e la propria
passione per la musica in un progetto impegnativo. Nel settembre del 2005, tra defezioni di cantanti e chitarristi, i nostri eroi restano in due a fare i
conti praticamente con una semi-rifondazione. Sostenendosi a vicenda e superando i momenti di sconforto riescono a scovare, prima Ennio alla batteria, poi
Francesco, alla voce. Così, nascono i Dismayed, nella primavera del 2006 registrano un demo "Prologue" che contiene brani dal quale si evincono le influenze
più disparate in ambito Thrash e comunque Metal in generale.
In giugno, si aggiunge Alessandro all’ altra chitarra, nell' agosto 2007 Francesco decide di lasciare la band per intraprendere un' altra strada lasciando il suo posto ad Enrico...
