This, order, lies and thus with a bit of cynical imagination, it became DISORDERLIES (D.O.L), a play on words if you will. The band is basically fairly new, being together as a group for about two years or so. Although the idea, or musical input has been in the works for 8 years, with musicians coming and going from the project.
The band was started by Riki Church (singer, songwriter) and Fred Tokar (guitars, synths, programming) in 2006. The rest of the line up they stole from other bands , drummer Bobby Valentine, bassist Daniel Dalton, and lead guitarist Marek.
The band quickly started working on its sound, creating what they like to call „acid gothic", "cyber-funk". After recording a maxi with 5 songs, Disorderlies came to work with fellow musician and producer Béla Barabás (former Freshfabrik guitarist) at +6DB studios, headed by Tommy Gresiczki, master sound engineer. Their first album was in the making and with the help of Béla and Tommy, the bands album was mixed in Belgium at Rec n Roll and mastered at Abbey Road studios. Béla helped the final mix by collaborating with Adam Nunn, who just finished working with Radiohead and Richard Ashcroft. Adam really liked the material and thus did the mastering for DISORDERLIES debut album titled „The Artofficial"
