Dissident is the band of tomorrow, today. Some say we're similiar to Pearl Jam (the name is a bit of a tribute), some say the Tragically Hip, we think we're a nice mix of just about everything. And we know we will entertain you. We put on one hell of a show. The best in the land some say. So far every show we have played has been PACKED. And we keep them on their feet until the end and have them coming back for more. With provocative originals (and we're constantly writing more!... album soon!!!) you can't hear anywhere else, and classic covers spanning every era and genre you've ever heard of. We do it best. Dissident. Real Music. Book us by sending a message to this page, or contacting any of our band members individually. You can Instant Message Ben at BostonBen44, or email him at Fightingceltics33@yahoo.com. Or call 315-287-0916. Check out all our originals and pictures, and inquire about live DVD samples for further interest.

i remember when we played at george w bush's acceptance speech in '00 and he didnt understand vietnamistan... which was extra special since we had traveled forward in time to write it.
i've been out of town for a month (indiana, rome, prague, norway, amsterdam, michigan), doug had shoulder surgery (though I'm told he has recovered enough to play guitar), and dave just had a new baby (or actually his wife did). So we have been out of it lately, but we had a gig in potsdam before I left that went really well and so I think we are at that point where we can start playing out more regularly. We will probably try to play most of our gigs in potsdam, so hopefully that will work for you once you start school. How's your summer been? Been playing in music? B-Ball? good to hear from you.
McGreetings from Scotland, Cheers for being our friend on myspace , Please Keep in touch as we value your friendship and support very much! All the very best to you, from McDave and the boys of Pegasus in Bonnie Scotland. ROCK ON! and have a great weekend.
Track 4- "Vietnamistan" 8.6/10 A solid, 70's-styled rock ballad song about war. Really fun to listen to. Lyrics are a bit straight-forward but keep a very cinematic feel. I love the bass/guitar on this. The vocals are decent and fit the song well. The 2nd verse doesn't shine as much as the 1st verse lyrically, but still manages to fit the rock-ballad feel. The distortion coming in at 2:44 rocks! - Ultimate-Guitar. com Vietnamistan is featured on their "Whats Next Album" !!!
