Welcome to the myspace page of DISSONANCE, a weekly hardcore and punk music show on RADIO CPR, community radio in Northwest Washington, DC.
DISSONANCE is hosted by Danger Mike. I play a biweekly assortment of hardcore and punk music, predominantly from the District, Maryland and Virginia, with both older classics and new releases.
Each week I invite a different artist from the DC punk community for an on-air interview and to be a guest DJ. Previous guests include members of Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Government Issue, Bratmobile, Q and not U, Nation of Ulysses, the Make Up, the Dismemberment Plan, Black Market Baby, the Slickee Boys, Darkest Hour, Damnation A.D., Scream, Iron Cross, Gray Matter, Frodus, Battery, the Goons, the Suspects, Majority Rule, Striking Distance, Worn Thin, Cloak/Dagger, Del Cielo, Crispus Attucks, Trial by Fire, Beauty Pill, Mass Movement of the Moth, Set to Explode, Police & Thieves, Lion of Judah, Forced Forward, Pulling Teeth, 86 Mentality, Integrity and the BORF brigade. RADIO CPR can be heard over the air in the following areas of Northwest DC: Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, Woodley/Cleveland Park, and parts of Glover Park, U St. and Shaw. Those outside of the broadcast range can listen to the podcast or download archived shows online.
