december 12, 2009: distance engine began as a solo acoustic effort by will b (action figure 8, subcity six, sentimental hitmen).
distance engine is now a band.
since august, distance engine has played a number of shows in denver and boulder, and we've just finished recording our first EP. the tracks we have up here are the demo versions of all 5 songs from that session. over the next week or so we'll be doing some more stuff to it, and when the masters are done we'll take down the demos and put up the final, EP-ready tracks.
the EP should be released sometime in january, on cd and vinyl. we're booking for 2010, and we may end up playing in austin during a certain very busy week in march (but not as an "official" band. we're underground like that).
Will, I am so sorry I missed your show at the Meadow Lark. Some huge projects came up at work and I had to work from home last Wednesday to finish them. I hope the show was great! Perhaps I can catch u at a show in boulder.
Hey! It was great meeting you at burnt toast last week! Thanks for the encouragement, I really enjoyed you set too! By the way, I used the recommendation for the studio you gave me this week and it was great!! I'm doing burnt toast again this week, so hopefully I'll see you there!
