About Distinct.Radi0

We don't like classifying music by placing it into categories, however, if it helps people to understand our sound then we will continue to deem ourselves an Electro/Breakbeat group -hence our trademark, "Distinct.Radi0...the other side of electro". We are also known to our fans as simply DR-0 (dee-are-zero). We have a massive list of influences, beginning with Joy Division & Kraftwerk to Ultravox & Gary Newman and all other New Wave/70s/80s/Post-punk sounds & all the way to hardcore electro with the likes of Man Parrish; Our more recent influences include 80s Acid House and most UK sounds of Dub, Breakbeat, Garage and a bit of what they call Grime from time to time. Our group began in 2004, although we didn't lay out our first track [with vocals] until the summer of 2005. We played gigs in San Antonio and Austin (Texas) for 2 years before finding our absolute sound. We have just completed our second album to date, entitled "Twins of Terra Incognita". This is a duo consisting of an English producer and an American vocalist, the mix of which shines through in each track as Distinct.Radi0 'ELECTRO-fies' you!
