Sounds Like
An unusual take on the current EBM scene, including focus on politics and interpersonal relationships as well as hardship and frustration. Plus a little power noise and drum n bass influence.
Rein[Forced] started out of the ashes of the band Forced after a breakup in 2003. The band released "Futile Longings of a Condescending Man" in 2006.
Following the records release, Ben Bloom, keyboardist for Rein[Forced] and frontman for Agnes Wired for Sound unexpectedly passed away. While the band continued on to play many more live shows, Ben's presence was missed dearly. In 2006, they played many shows including appearances in Cleveland, New York City, State College and Chicago. Jim Semonik, the band's singer is currently struggling with cancer. While this is not stopping Semonik and Turner from writing the new album, "X Amount of Stabwounds in the Back", it won't see release until 2009. Rein[Forced] will be playing a few live shows in 2008 as well as a tour planned after the albums release.
Forced / Rein[Forced] have shared the stage with such talent as Front Line Assembly, Haujobb, Imperative Reaction, Assemblage 23, Vicious Alliance, I:Scintilla, SITD, Chemlab, Run Level Zero, Aesthetic Perfection, Psyclon 9, Sheep On Drugs, Terrorfakt, Sister Machine Gun, Christ Analogue, Manufactura, Moulin Noir, Xanopticon, Prometheus Burning, Cyber Strukture, Cesium 137, The Aggression, Ascension of the Watchers, Mindless Faith, Slick Idiot, Nocturne, Pigface, Control.Org, Funker Vogt, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Bile, Voodou, Chris Connelly, Icon of Coil, Lost Signal, Zeromancer, Bella Morte, Deathline Int'l, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Bamboo Crisis, E-Craft, Andraculoid, Acumen Nation, Celldweller, DJ Acucrack, Ego Likeness, Carfax Abbey, XPQ-21, Caustic, Filament 38, Defcon, The Gothsicles, XP8, System Syn, and Tonikom.
With an assembly that includes members of Ministry (Warner Bros.) and Thrill Kill Kult (Rykodisc), it's obvious project .44 has a firm grasp on the aggro/industrial/tek metal scene...
